Ofcourse I realise it is extra expense, but I would like to see more cyclists with camera's pointing backwards also. I realise that you "robojimpip" have mentioned that it was clear behind you. However many cyclists do not mention stuff like that, and if it were up to the viewer to pass judgement on the screen view alone, I would say "hmm maybe you were holding up a huge queue of traffic behind and he was trying to jump into a gap after waiting a while" but that is speculation...
@monkeysnutscom All just to pull out in front of the bike. The road behind me was clear enough for him to move without any drama, just bike phobic crazy.
@robojimpip I can never understand why people choose to overtake on a corner or at a junction when the road ahead of it is straight and clear. People have no patience.
@monkeysnutscom pretty much what jimpip said - there is no thought process with some of these drivers, they see a bike and all thought process goes out the window.
@monkeysnutscom It is worse than that, he/she was simply joining the road in light to moderate traffic and the driver had an excellent vantage point because of the bend in the road. Two seconds wait for the BMW would have saved that heart stopping moment for the SAAB.
@robojimpip I actually did that to a car yesterday. We both had parked cars on our sides of the road and I was staying 2 meters away to avoid being doored, and this woman was coming towards me and only just realise how much in the road I was and had to avoid me.
