To the geek with the 'Kesha' girl, it's all right man. You did cast a high level Charm spell but she barely rolled high enough to get a saving throw. Sadly, she casted a Sexual Dampening spell which locks out any other Charm spells for the next several rounds, which gives her enough time to leave.

By the time you see her again, you'll be at a higher level and gain more Charm abilities. And there's plenty of us guys here who will join your party to help get you XP. ^_^

So...was Gandalf a warlock too? I think of a warlock as being more along the lines of a sorcerer, but a wizard just has a different mood about it. And anyway, the outcome of the battle really depends on their skills, equipment, and temporary modifiers. If the wizard had a weak weapon, but a high skill modifier, it would most likely have a strong attack. But if the warlock has a temporary effect from some past encounter, it could prevail even with lower skills. You couldn't decide easily.
