Good point. We could build hydrogen manufacturing jobs in international waters. These facilities would create technical employment on land and sea. It could be done with a crew from nations that want to offer hydrogen fuel as a choice. There would be automation required for such en devours and would create employment for many people. Thanks for your thoughts and interest in automation.
Do we need to assure we are creating employment at the same time as automating? Do computers or machines pay taxes? Do we need this revenue? Should there be a plan in place for creating new employment for employment lost to automation?
@etellurian The automation industry itself creates jobs. People still need to build, maintain, and run the automated systems. The systems allow large quantities of repetitive tasks to be completed in the exact same way every time. It's about consistency and quantity. People will still have jobs, they just may be more technical. I build and configure automated systems for a living. As far as I've seen, this field is always hiring. As many jobs as automation may take away, it creates.
@BigUnitMcGee whats up some advice please, i just graduated trade school to become an electrician but i want to be the plc and industrial guy, i was considering getting my AA in electronics as a start. any advice would be a great help
@Dimitri0809 It would be better if the automation industry didn't create jobs? I don't understand your comment. Why would that be better? Why is it better for a person to be painting automobiles or for a scientist to pipette hundreds of samples when a machine can pipette hundreds of thousands? All it means is, instead of going to college for a degree like psychology or history, go for mathematics or computer science....you know, degrees that will actually keep you employed for life.
it would be better if someone didn't need to run the automation systems or maintain them at all if they ran by them selfs without any human inervention.
@Dimitri0809 Not possible until robots become self-aware and think for themselves. They aren't smart. They do what they're told over and over again without complaint. That's their strength...repetition. Why would it be better if they ran by themselves? You're talking about a Terminator situation. LOL
To make one of u lovely machines the elites are sucking the minerals of Congo and creating civil wars all around africa...but of course u selfish lover of high tech, u give a shit about from where this metal and natural resources are sucked...as much as u have u little ass wiper electronic as in japan public toilets, u dont care.."Progress" is bringing misery to mankind coz it is progress just for few..

Automization will destroy the left over little metal resources...the greed of some bastards who dont want to move their asses to sweep their floors by themselves..
Embracing the machines aesthetics will benefit only the owners of the machines who will make money..the rest of us will loose our jobs..very deshumanizing process..WWIII will be people of the world against machines...Since machination started, unemployment have skyrocketed...unnnecesary technolgy will enslave us..Who need robots ?
Yeah lets get rid of our stoves, our computers and our refrigerators, as well as our cars.
And lets all live in caves with big sticks and bows.
You watched too many robot killer movies, We can get rid of the profit system and use the machines and robots to our own advantage, but first everyone must be able to have zero point free energy.
U go from extreme toanother...I never implied that we should come back caves but this is going to fast...and we will pay for supporting the technocracy dictatorship...
We are trying to move forward not backwards, either get rid of the money system or get rid of our entire technology.
I agree that sometimes technology gets abused especially by the military and so much security tech in our countries.
The whole idea is to Free mankind from the constraints of a hard labor society. It's about managing the earths Resources to balance them all out around the world for the health and well being of Earth.
some people use an Electric razor to shave, so we shouldn't just let go and stop using our electric razors but we need to look at what technology can do for mankind and how it can fix our problems. Money will cause alot more problems in our society and it has for over time.
It's time to try something new that benefits the world, the planet, the animals and ourselves all at the same time.
wow, you are a freak... you think robots are going to take over?? jesus christ, you god dam nuts who think that a robot has a mind.. a robot is an electric machine... it can only do whatever its programmed to do. The reason people lose jobs when you automate things is because of MONEY. If we automate everything we wont have to work the boring pointless waste of mind jobs.. and we can be scholars and do other things we enjoy like our hobbies and families
Great video for a great song! nicely done ;)
