  • This is my favorite song from Patsy

    So Beautiful

    Thank you for posting.

  • Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the video!

  • I was in high school when Patsy was killed and I grieved for a year I still miss her awesome voice, there will never be another like her and I have these wonderful recordings which I play all the time. Thanks Patsy for your Awesome Singing.

  • The definitive version of this song. No disrespect intended to Bob and the boys.

  • This is the best version of this song, as no one could sing it better!

  • @patsaxon Amen. She was one of a kind, and Bob also.

  • This voice was made to be heard in front of the fireplace with your best girl and a good bottle of wine

  • A great version,,,wow...joe in vegas

  • im goin to see "Always.... Patsy Cline" in March. I cant wait!

  • In the history of female singer Pasty Cline had a sound that can never be imitated. It clean, fresh, and just country-RIP Pasty

  • Everytime I think some new artist can sing as well as she did, I just listen to a song like this. She is in league of her own.

  • One of her strongest and most influential recordings.

  • A beautiful song by a great singer

  • thanks so much for posting and sharing this Classic Country Music CLASSIC!!!!!

  • This is one of those perfomances that grabs your attention from the first few notes, then keeps getter better and better. And just when you think it can't get any better, Patsy gives it one of the most heartfelt endings ever recorded. It surely appears this one came from deep inside.

  • Great song! i love Patsy Cline, she's a great singer, this song is the best.

Thank you very much for this!

  • tops do more please

  • None better great sound great song great singer great

  • You did a great job! It's hard to find these old songs with good sound. This will go on my playlist. Thanks for posting.

  • I absolutely love you for this!! Please contact me any time!!

  • I literally grew up with her music. You really can escape it when you grow up in her hometown.

  • Great audio. I just love Patsy. Such a shame that her life was cut short.

  • OMG the ending is so .....wow

  • My mom loved Patsy and so do I. I saw a live play twice in GR MI and it was great. Timeless, and although there have been alot of people sing these songs since, none quite make the same impact as Patsy did.

  • AH what a great voice she had, wonderful singer classic country !!!

  • awesome song

  • she is one of my heroes she rocks

  • My second favorite Patsy song, right after "Crazy."

  • As yet, still untouched. Now we have anorexic lipstick models in country music.

  • As yet, still untouched.

  • WOW and yes, you did a good thing posting this version David!

    thanks,

george and the rest of patsy.s fans...,. ;)

  • A great and beautiful song....

  • great song and a great artist

  • As much as I love Patsy Cline, and I love "Faded Love," I feel this cover of the song is just way over the top in terms of orchestration and performance. I really think Faded Love works best with the simplest string support and graceful, understated vocal presentation.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 Give us an example, please.

  • @bruiseraa Unfortunately, I cannot carry a tune in bucket.

  • I just love the part at 3:32 were you Patsy sound like she is about to cry......... RIP The Late and Great Patsy Cline..............

  • Wow! Thanks for posting.Patsy was amazing.

  • Beautiful clear version ! Thanks for posting it.

  • I'm not a big country music fan but Patsy Cline is GOLD and i'm blown away, especially reading about her life and the tragic circumstances of her death. I've been going through her songs and am now a Patsy Cline fan. RIP

  • It's not just the sigh at 3:30, but right after that, she has this slight, quivering vibrato note on the last word "love". I remember reading something about Patsy listening to the playback and knowing this was it when she heard that slight tremor at the end. It's absolute genius! Her voice told the emotions and feelings of a song in a way that no one has ever been able to, before or since. She was one in a million.

  • what a voice...

  • bottle of wine and patsy cline songs great!!!!

  • Check out the sigh at 3:30 in this cut.It still gives me a chill up my back whenever I hear it.Shes not an extremely pretty girl but goodness that voice really turns me on.!

  • I guess by todays standards i am an "older gentleman"...When she sings this piece at about 3:30 on this track she makes this kind of sigh that still kind of gives me chills up my back after all these years. Like many of those great singers from yesterday they will not be forgotten. Just ignore all the idiots who think they know music and Enjoy.Be thankful that you appreciate some one more than Lady ??Ga -Ga. I feel sorry for the tin eared kids of today

  • Such an awesome voice. This woman could seriously have set the world on fire as a lounge singer. What's even more amazing is that one must realize how little "mixing" - compared to today's music anyway - was done in the studio with artists of the 1950s and 1960s. So much of what you're hearing is truly her own voice and it still captivates you.

  • Wow, this gal was so good..

  • Lord have mercy! This makes me melt!

  • And Thank You So Much! I Love This Song

  • Thanks for posting this video. Outstanding. I love all her songs.

  • how did you get record/cd quality into an mp3?

  • Thank you and I've used your video in one of my articles on Examiner.com.

    Ms. "V"

    (examiner.com/christian-living-in-jacksonville/alhambra-theatre-gail-bliss-a-closer-walk-with-patsy-cline-review-review)

  • This is one of the best recordings, though I'm not a Patsy Cline fan your video and choice of music is very good , Thanks for posting

  • So clean and clear. I think this is the best version on here. I've listened to most. The test is that breath at the end. WOW!

  • i miss you darlin more and more every day

  • I'm only in middle school, but I'll tell you what-- Patsy Cline is my absolute favorite and it's so sad when kids my age tell me they have no clue who Patsy Cline is. My generation needs to go back in time and touch base with her, The Beatles, Queen, and the Rolling Stone, really appreciate them.

I think I am in the wrong generation.

  • @Elmrada I am g;ad your like Patsy Cline play your friends some of her music If they listen long enough they will start to like her too

  • @Elmrada You are not in the wrong generation... you will bring these great artists forward to your generation... i always loved the older non popular music in my teen years and introduced so much of it to my peers and they began to find a great appreciation for it... You have great taste in music and are among the great few that appreciate the greatest artists of our time! Keep listening and sharing :)

  • @Elmrada I completely agree. Patsy Cline was and still is the queen of country. She left us FAR too soon! I'm 30 and the people of my generation are the very same way. It's so sad. Johnny Cash is also one of my favorites.

  • @Elmrada > As one of the "older" generation, I admire your taste, re: Patsy, but I question putting her in the same category as Beatles, Queen, and Rolloing Stone.

  • Ah yes. The gasp at the end. Whew. That right there enough to break our hearts.

  • @ladyleesutter AMEN! I love it.

  • I remember dancing with Patsy at Jug Bridge Inn,on old rt-40 outside of Frederick. We stopped in there to get a cold brew after a ball game in Cumberland. It was a dare and I took it. Thanks I had that dance with her. Ill never forget her..........

  • Patsy Cline, Buddy Holly, Otis Redding, Ritchie Valens all fall into the; why did they have to leave us so soon category.

    Rest in Peace Miss Patsy.

  • Patsy was the best. She had the greatest voice of any female artist, bar none. That ragged breath at the end of the song sends chills down my spine. There won't ever be another one like her.

  • There has NEVER been a voice like Patsy's. Quite simply, there was Patsy Cline and then everybody else somewhere below.

  • second to none.

  • Alot of Artists have done covers of this song but I think this is still the leader! This arrangement of strings is second to none as is the emotion of Patsy's voice she injected into her vocals here.

  • I was but a child when that plane crashed. I have since grown to love her sweet voice. No one can sing this song like her. I love you, Patsy. You will live in our hearts forever.

  • Arguably not just the greatest female country singer of the 20th century but the greatest female singer of any pop genre.

  • One of her best...!

  • Even with full orchestra and strings, this is pure country.

  • What an awesome vocalist!

  • I grew up a Patsy fan and this one, next to I Fall To Pieces and Crazy, was my fave. i don't claim to be able to sing, but I love singing this to the video. I get wierd looks from my hubby and kids, but I try. Thank u for thtis uploading :) faved, too

  • i think this song and "Sweet Dreams" are 2 of Patsy Clines geatest songs

  • You are an angel for sharing this! Thank you.

  • Chills.

  • in hillbilly heaven she is one of the angels with a golden voice singing to all that enter

  • @latykai not wrong there mate hey

  • I miss you, darlin', the greatest female C&W singer in history bar none!

  • @memfisman i agree mate

  • Oh, God! I cannot believe that I have never heard of this fantastic singer before!

Thank you very much for posting!

  • When I sing this song I get a lumo in my throat such a beautiful song.

  • Thank you so very much for posting this. She was, I think, a very important part of our past and what a beautiful voice. Again, thanks.

  • Check out Decca Records re-master of Pasty Cline's hits. They did a superb job. Cried half way through it.

  • it may not be a live show taping, but, it is still 100% patsy cline

  • Love the late great Patsy's use of lush strings in this exquisite version of the Western Swing classic. THANK YOU very much for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us! You've MADE my day & my weekend! :)

  • One of her very best songs, and she had a great many..

  • Man, Patsy Cline singing "Faded Love." Doesn't get much better than this.

  • Patsy Cline and Judy Garland are my favourite American singers. This song is one of the best Patsy Cline songs, I think. It´s so sad that she had to die so young...

  • 3:22-3:45 and indelible moment in Country music. Unmatched.

  • effortless voice just flows from her heart very much the same with Roy Orbison.i wonder if they recorded together, anyone know.

  • Wow!! Like a voice from the past that stirs so many memories.

  • I think I like the quality... but now that I watch this more often I am prone to a tear now and again.

  • There will never be another Patsy...

  • Love this song! my grandma used to sing it to me. I cant find a non-covered of sweet dreams of you can i get some help?

  • really enjoyed this song ,patsy was such a great singer and ienjoy listening to her so much ,thanks for posting a really excellent version of it

  • Written by the King of Western Swing, Bob Wills, who is in both the Country Music and Rock and Roll halls of fame.

  • Love this song! Its her best one!

  • This was the last song Patsy recorded before she died. If you listen to the end of the song where she pauses, when she takes that last breath, you can hear in her voice that she was crying from the emotion of the song. I have read that every person in the room including her band, producers, etc was crying by the end of the song. Thank you so much for posting this song, the quality is unbelievable! From a huge Patsy Cline fan!

  • @shartnk1 This was not the last song patsy recorded it was "I'll sail my ship alone".

  • i think i am in love to Patsy

  • NICE!

  • Right! The sound quality does Patsy proud. thanx for the tears in my eyes...

  • WOW!

  • Great Video.

    R.I.P. Patsy

  • Patsy is an original woman. Too bad her life was filled with so mucjh trajedy. It cost ger her life......luv u Patsy

  • the emotion in this song..wow.

  • I believe, if I remember what I had read correctly, this was one of the final songs Patsy ever recorded. Seems I remember reading that the secretary at the studio said that when they did this take of the song, by the end of the song, everyone in the studio had tears in their eyes. . .

  • Amazing song. This is my first time hearing this, and i thought it was simply wonderful.

  • Whether it was a break-up song or a happy one, Patsy made you believe she was feeling what she was singing. I miss her.

  • Wondefu,l thanks for posting****************

  • Patsy takes a 2 1/2 minute song and makes it seem like a 30 minutes.

She was one of a kind.

  • There will never be another Patsy Cline. In my opinion the greatest female singer of all time. The breath at the end of the song shows the real depth of her emotions. It gives me chills every time I hear it.

  • sorry to hear about your loss xxxforeverchanelxxx

  • There are no words to adequately describe her version of this song. The sigh at the end gives me the chills each time I hear it. A true classic!

  • Truely a classic

  • Thank you for all of your comments. I'm glad that it means so much to so many...

  • @Banderuola66 why do you have to say you're not a country fan? Isnt okay to just like the song without making the genre such an issue? Sheesh.

  • @VASINGER Sorry I did not want to speak bad about country. Was not my intention.

I only wanted to say, that it is not my favourite music. I prefer DooWop. Sorry again.

  • @Banderuola66

I prefer Doowop too and have 11,000 of them, but I make an exception for Patsy Cline and on top of that, this is my favorite of her songs.
