  • This is easier with 3D casting and printing but It's still amazing that they still sculpt and paint by hand.

  • That's why these figurines are so expensive. So many hours to do that. So many patience, skill and passion. Great work of great people.

  • 5/5

  • skills

  • Putting together all those parts after everyone's hard work... That must be a really great feeling ' u '

  • Greatest show ive ever seen!!!!

    music = WIN

    Thnx for uploading

  • I'm positively sure the painting isn't (can't be) automatized at all. How do they mass product this how-how... like the way chinese people cost a 100 times less than a Japanese worker or any other people from any other country, this is how...

Though have any of you checked the prices of these? I hardly believe they are given out to be mass produced outside of Japan. Japanese tend to be really cool about their stuff, only giving out things REALLY needed to be mass produced for cheap.

  • is the character from anything, or just a design someone decided to commission...?

  • so how do they mass produce this in china?

  • @junkun13 this is just a prototype the mass production uses machines/robots to paint the figures

  • @henritje19 well, you could only paint via machine for larger area, for details such as eyes, it is still hard, so there are still some manual labor into this, that's why these figures are so expensive even if mass produced. now gashapon, that's a different story

  • Superb skill! If only I could build one just as good as them.

  • has there been any more videos from this workshop?

  • this is the exact painted figure they used as an illustration to sell the GK at e2046 and Hobbyfan. it shows the potential of the figure-requires a rocking good modeller to achieve that potential (as in not me).

  • amazing stuff, watched all 9! I get the (1/9) initial resin cast part but what is that paste he uses to add in detail? also resin? Learned a lot about painting too, i think i should buy an airbrush! I'm a super sculpy fan but i love the finish of these models - time for a change? Also amazing to watch the transformation of the sculpt once he sanded it - wow!

  • how much would i have to pay if i want to buy one of these sculptures?

  • @loLollb be prepared to fork over $150+ USD

  • very very! Amazing!!!!

  • wow, they were sanding resin without a mask, spraying lacquer without a mask... they're not gonna live long

  • fricken epic.

  • Dou you make a living with this work? In France it's totally impossible!!!!.... Snif!

  • amazing!

  • That was pretty awesome, I learned a lot from it.. Now I've got a nice list of things I want to buy for figure making (all my old ones pale in comparison, and all these methods/supplies on here are amazing). <3

  • If you want a resin model that you can put together of this kit, I can give you the link to the site that offers this one and many more. You'll have to assemble and paint it yourself.

  • yes im curious, id like to get this kit as well.

    where can i?

    thanks

  • could you tell me the site, i'd love to try do the same process??

  • Sheesh, that's a lot of blood and sweat put into this figure but well worth it. I'm doing one myself but with Firm Sculpey, doubt it'll turn out as good as this but hey practice makes improvement. I'd like to know how they work with extremely long hair. Thanks for sharing these videos!

  • WOW, great work... but what about the pins and the glue?

  • Thanks for uploading this; it was very interesting.

  • whoa!i never liked figures until watching this vid, great work!by the way, this character is from any anime series?absolutely great!

  • This figure probably costs around thousands of dollars with all the crazy unique plastic making and shaping and most of all painting.

  • So I am guessing this is like the main crown Jewel episode for the Puramo Tsukurou season.

  • What manga is this character even from?

  • This is original character for this program

  • So do they like pick a new character for every season? Or come up with a new look on the character.
