I believe her songs go way beyond her lyrics. In her current album (heapsongs) she expresses the same complex feelings trough abstract ideas and metaphors. I can definitely relate to this song, it challenges me to keep looking up to life, when I first came across it not so long ago it helped me a lot... and the other songs make me think, I can find my own way of applying those lyrics to my life trough the perfect balance of voice and experimental sound. That is what makes Imogen a mastermind..

I don't care for this at all I hate to say. Imogen Heap's music used to come from a place of such intimacy and meaning.... (eons ago now it seems) with albums like frou frou and speak for yourself. That music was fresh, inventive and ultimately very true and unique to herself. Her new "song conceptions" seem very contrived to me, as if she sat a dinner table just coming up with the idea of a song rather than having the experience which triggered the conception of the song.

Before her life was often in turmoil, but now I think she's getting married, and she's begun traveling around the world. Nowadays she get's her inspiration from her travels and stuff she observes, not events in her lifes. And I think that's nice too.
