  • @taylormum. Clearly you don't have a clue what you are talking about; it's not about the presets, I bought the 'normal' RPG mini and programmed my own presets. I work as a pro and this device saves me hypes of time while edit 6000+ pics on average assignments. Most of them are edited and processed in LR and don't need to go through PS where you actually perform the same tasks if you open in RAW. So nobody forces you or judges you if don't buy. take your whining elsewhere. Very useful product

  • Anyone know how he got his MBP to look so amazing?

  • this is a cool and useful product but not for $300 dude, u are way over the top. this should be around the $40-$50 maximum. i am a techie and can buy a standalone numeric wireless pad and program the keys. no way will i spend $300 on this. email me when the price drops because no one is buying it.

  • Actually, we had to create special software for Lightroom in order to do the magic it does. What we've achieved cannot be done with a simple keypad and off-the-shelf macro or scripting software. Yes, the keypad itself is not the expensive part of the package, but custom software development is very pricey. That's where the investment is. We have actually sold out our first run, and they continue to sell well, so many people do understand the value. Thanks for your feedback though.

  • I met the two guys who invented RPG Keys at the PDN Photoplus Expo this year, super cool dudes and totally into developing this product. The $600 or so for the keypad & software is nothing compared to the hours of processing time a working pro photog will save after just one year of accelerated post processing. Also well-integrated with Photoshop for more intensive work.

  • Taylor, what's with the flaming dude? You obviously haven't used LR much in a pro environment. I haven't purchased this product yet, but the benefits are obvious to me...time savings. I've been using LR for my pro workflow and indeed I use Photoshop way less than I used to, doing most basic retouching right in Lightroom. This key thing could definitely speed that up.

LR is a HUGE time saver! I don't think it's cool to bash products you haven't tried or obviously don't understand. Just my $.02.

  • Oh please... Presets are free everywhere, why would anyone want to spend $300 or so, for something they already can do for free... Besides, you need Photoshop for any real retouching workflow, it's amateurish to suggest or promise otherwise. Much better things to buy, and much better ( and cool ) uses for the Keys than this... sorry if that's harsh, but tired of getting stuff that just ends up sitting around or unused - Garage Sale anyone?
