it some how does not feel right without the tower elevator's hum at 0:07. just shows that the sounds in the movie go hand in hand with the score that plays over them. this more clear in Return of the Jedi as the whole battle of Endor, with music and explosions and ewoks and the lightsaber clashing seems like 1 big musical piece.

@Thx1138191 No, he meant deflector shields, the rebels expected the shields to be down by time the fleet got to the deathstar, Little did they expect the emperor would have his soldiers on endor at the shield generator. Then of course the emperors soldiers were defeated by teddy bears with sticks.
