  • hey xisumavoid, i really need some help, how do you get the animals to not get out of the mine carts when saving and relaunching the world! pleaseeee helppp

  • @macleanwright I assume your using pigs? Check out my pig breeding cell :) also you are using the V2 tutorial, V3 has a better breeding bay :) although it will break in the next update

  • Could you do a world download please? I find it easier if I can actually see it.

  • @boygotskill999 Already there :) But download the V3 map

  • @StevenofBladez Yea thats good, and logical! :)

  • @StevenofBladez Nice name :)

  • I always wanted something like this ^^

  • @alau07 Check out V3 for the most up to date breeding system

  • bet noau wishes he had this

  • 1:12 - 1:13

I can see that someone cheated there! A White sheep comes out of two black sheeps?

  • @xisumavoid dude is there an automated way for you to remove the animals from the carts?

  • @renkinjutsushix I think only there death will remove them from the cart

  • @xisumavoid i made a video using a fully automated system, for that exact purpose

    /watch?v=BGz22HS7XjQ

  • @renkinjutsushix Since this comment is 2 weeks late, I can only assume you figured this out already, but in case you haven't, if you put the minecart in lava it will break the cart, and hope the animal doesn't walk into the lava. It's pretty easy set up, just go 3 blocks up, and place 4 blocks around an air block, then add lava to the middle. Add a hole for the lava to flow into. Then make a track going straight towards and around the lava. Push a cart through it slowly and it will break.

  • @KingdomHeartsMC check out the MMG video (minecart mob grinder) for killing mobs

  • Oh and very nice design :-)

  • Will this design work with pre release 4? I have noticed that animals do not always breed when given wheat. In the wild the "parents" follow the baby for a while and don't breed again for a while

  • @ianman1976 it should work and about the parent yeah in this system he puts the just used animals in the back and by the time the pair makes afull loop they are ready to go again but to answer your question, this should work im gonna build it soon and ill let you know how it goes

  • Awesome job!! Music is a little repetitive, but I have to agree with you, layer by layer is the easiest way, (to build and teach). one of the best tut's I've seen in a while (even without voice).

    +1 Sub!

  • uploud the world

  • great job :P

  • They drop down below for processing :)

  • i have a problem witht he carts not wanting to fall, they stay up there i have to go up there and push them that last little bit to get them to fall, any ideas what's wrong?

  • @Grndragon26 check your powered rails, they are supposed to provide enough boost to push the minecarts in

  • I have 1 question, Where are all the babies that are being made? I don't see any in this video.

  • @kotpx3 They drop down below for processing :)

  • You just got a sub :D

  • Welldone man, good work!! :D Your a genius ;) Your gaining a lot of subscribers now so keep it up :D

  • want to like, but mouse moved and i subscribed :D

  • Doc sent me. Now I'm a subscriber. Keep up the good work :)

  • Doc sent me here. . . saw your tute. . . and my finger automatically subscribed :3 Nice breeding center! i might make one for my new home

  • @renkinjutsushix :D thats great! let me know how it goes dude

  • Awesome video! How do you make the animals fall down at the breeding station?

  • @GDndFF Its a trick where the sticky piston holds the rails in the air, so when the new animal is created, it has nowhere to go but down :)

  • On ABC step 6 i needed to add slow sand to prevent the returning cart from passing over the gap the cart/animal is supposed to fall into.

  • @Rakenclaw Can you upload a screenshot?

  • Unable to post links here, but think you can figure this out...

    ompldr dot org/vYXM1dw

  • @Rakenclaw yea no need for the soul sand, u just missed the glass blocks the other side of the ones that move back to let the animal in. pause video at 4:40

  • @xisumavoid Hey xisumavoid great job with your animal breeding farm! I have been working on one as well, I've figured out that you do not need to have pistons controlling the glass that prevents the mobs from wandering around when you log off. Animals can pass through glass in a mine cart and take no damage. My video can demonstrate.

This should allow you to make your design even more compact and survival single player friendly :)! Keep up the good work!

  • @phatixus Great video man, i will have a look at redesigning the ABC with what you have discovered there. Cheers :)

  • Respond to this video... Could have used a block on the other side too i guess

  • great, I just retested it, and it doesn't work at all, since Notch gave baby animals the same hitbox as their adult versions.

  • Where does the baby go?

  • @SteelFyire It just drops down below, haven't got a working baby mob sorter yet.

  • @xisumavoid Cool. You'll never guess what I just made based on this...A holding chamber that, when activated, selectively kills off all the adult animals inside. It's a room with a ceiling of piston crushers, and a bunch of piston toggle 1x1 holes in the ground. The babies fall into the holes when they're deployed, and once enough of them are stuck, you activate the crushers. It's not a perfect system, but notch set baby animal height to a value greater than 1 block high.

  • @SteelFyire That's for cows though, I only have tested it with cows. Not sure about pigs or other animals. Obviously it doesn't work with chickens.

  • @SteelFyire Just tested with pigs. Doesn't work on them, since adult pigs can fit in tiny spaces.

  • Nice!

    Subbed

also, what's the name of the music u use?

    it's refreshingly relaxed

  • I really like the way you make your tutorials . It's not like those dudes that make everything in one second and sometimes you can't stop the video exactly where you want . =D

  • @hyonrinmaru2409 those are the people who inspired me to do better lol

  • @xisumavoid That's why I like your tutorials ! LOL

  • Amazing ! Not working great in SMP though...

  • @PurpleTheater Yea yesterday i was testing stuff out with a friend in smp and we soon realized that mobs work so differently in smp

  • awesome! really enjoy your tutorials ;)

  • What happens if you press the bring animals out button on accident, when animals are already out? Does it back up the system?

  • @wolfy1255 Yes it does, you could fix this by creating a lock between the two buttons, IE you have to press A then B it would require some redstone knowledge

  • you can do it with a PEZ dispenser with Trapdoors on each cart slot. so it's logout proof

    /watch?v=gTE_oJWLuw0

  • @ChiefORZ92 That is absolutely fantastic! i may have to play around with this design myself and see what can be done :)

  • @ChiefORZ92 it is already logout proof.. but i watched your pez dispenser.. it needs less room .. but i prefer the dual rail system so you dont need extra switches and redstone to choose different directions for the minecarts. Since you can place one singe ABC where ever you want place is not that problem ;)

  • could u try to make a more compact one but if not this is cool

  • @kasscar3 At the moment this is the best i could do, i will always be trying to revise my ideas so maybe in the future i will be able to reduce the size :)

  • haha.. sheep pez dispenser.. ^^

    Love it..

  • Really nice video and great tutorial! I will try this farm for all kind of animals since i am tired of strepping through masses of animals while rightclicking :D

  • @TheOrigin79 be sure to let me know how it goes!

  • @xisumavoid I just builded one BB and one ABC V2 with your step by step description .. there are 3 things to mention:

    1. its hard to follow some placed blocks which are placed in air- maybe you place some different colored blocks below so its easier to see whats surface and whats not.

    2. the wiring for the ABC lower piston isnt shown properly you can only see it between step 3-4

    3. the wiring for the lower sticky pistons on the ABC also - i found the missing redstone by myself

    OVERALL +++++ :)

  • @TheOrigin79 Thanks for pointing these things out, I'm sorry i missed them in the tutorial, I'm so used to the design it is hard to think what it is like for people who don't

  • @xisumavoid Your welcome - great effort anyway - the design is simple, compact and efficient. I will try to improve it by switching between different animals ;) .. if done i will repost.

  • @xisumavoid Today i builded your ABC V2 in my world with 10 ABC and one breeder cell. I tried to put them as narrow as possible but u have to leave a gap of one block between them so restone doesnt mess up (torches). Then i leaded the rail to an upper platform where the breeding cell is located. The baby animals fall down and are gathered in a cage which leads up again to put them into minecarts again :)

  • @TheOrigin79 linked you some pictures at the minecraftforum videosection of your ABC V2 tutorial.

  • @TheOrigin79 congratz man :)

  • wow. Again, another amazing video. So easy to follow too. Good job! Keep it up :D x

  • Nice video as always and I like the setup you have here that is easy to follow, keep it up :-)

I shall certainly be using this in my world (and will give credit to you of course!)

  • It is really nice like always ;)

and to be honest I like the way you do it :) so you can pause the video and read the supplies ;)

  • @Serinum cheers man thats good to know :)

  • You should realy commentate on these vids! :D

  • @WwortelHD Yea it would help to explain what is going on, but i am not yet ready to do commentary, i need some practice first

  • I like it! We need to combine our powers for great evil. lol
