  • what?! i was thinking about the guitarrist...

  • I have a 2000 Rose mist Taurus SHO Anyone on the SHOForm?

  • OMG! he almost looks like Gob from Arrested Development

  • lol....wow he looks like the saw guy...

  • Ford fanboys like to argue that we should all buy American...meanwhile the Canadian Ford plant is closed this week because the transmission parts that are made in INDIA aren't being made due to a strike...OOOPS!

And now Ford's UAW folks are getting ready to approve a contract that won't allow them to strike over pay or benefits issues?!>..What else is there to strike over?...UAW gets bent over by Ford just like thier customers now. At least the UAW owns 61% of GM, so when Ford tanks, they wont.

  • Hey blueskysiii: GM already tanked, when someone responsible inside the government pulls the plug and stops wasting our tax dollars funneling them into overpaid union boss thugs in return for political support like Obama received. Wait till the UAW and thug bosses finish tanking GM, then they won't have anyway to strike because they won't have a job!!! You a spoiled UAW that is angry at Ford because they didn't receive bribe money with strings attached so you can gut ford like you gutted GM?

  • You think I'm UAW? How insulting!...

  • Which Canadian Ford Plant? St. Thomas or Oakville?

  • americans cars suck, special ford, what a ugly ride,

  • this is the best Taurus ever built....people need to stop hatin'

  • okay....this is the best Taurus ever built..I agree...That's kinda like saying this is the least stinky shit I've ever smelt...

  • lol.. X2

  • ROFL!

  • even the BEST taurus ever built is still a rubbish car compared to everything else. Just cuz its the best TAURUS, doesn't mean anything.

  • @olioli917 shut your rubish ass and go talk smack on your country you prick jajaja

  • @gatodechihuas hahaha ok. enjoy your Taurus!

  • hahaha i thought this was about brent hinds from mastodon. its says brett hahaa

  • at least ford is the only company who didn't go under and ask for some finance. ford must be doing something good to keep their heads above water through these economic crisis.

  • ford sucks

  • This is what happen when Old Idiot design next generation Cars.

  • 365 hp is damn impressive for under 40k. Anyone know the official weight/power?

  • euro cars are best, americans cars sucks, all they thing is V8 V10 V12 but looks are sick

  • Maybe if you are going to insult American cars on an American car video, you should at least try and use proper english in your ramble.

  • I heard through the grapevine ---- Mustang sites--- that this motor will most likely make it into the 2011 Mustang---- its about time /////

Together with the Cayote motor the Mustang will be a formidable adversary for the Camaros and Challengers.

If they do just a little more work to the interior , it will be a hard car to beat for dollar value and fun to drive.

  • I foresee blown head gaskets for this engine in the future with twin turbo chargers.

  • at the very least. 170,000 rpms, and only slightly water cooled...No one in their right mind buys a car with a Year one (Y1) engine.Especially not a Ford...The junk yards are littered with late model Fords that weren't worth the cost of replacing their blown engines or undersized transmissions or transaxles...Remember Ford has relied on other entities to provide engines in the recent past...This ecoboost is primed to become the waterloo of Ford...

  • did you say to stiff over bumps and potholes??? dude if you want a a softer car go buy yourself a cadillac. the mustang is a sports car not a luxury car its suppose to be stiff if you cant handle it sell it to someone who can and go buy yourself a cadillac and if they ever put independent suspension on a mustang its gonna ruin the car.

  • Ford is BACK! They are definitely on to something with this dedication to turbos.......

  • DAMN DUDE! your really annoying! Go move to japan or korea since you think so much of them! At least FORD is trying and actually making a descent car! If your so angry at them go get an engineering degree and get a job at FMCC and show them how to build the perfect american car!! Instead of sitting at home in your tighty whitey's at home writing all your B.S.

  • ojd1990

But those 300hp 4cyl. aren't in the same class as the larger Taurus.

  • intercooling????

  • nope

  • 17 mpg? why not get a hyundai genesis instead...

  • Hooray for Ford!

  • ford is steppin up ther game wid tha fam sedans

  • That small motor makes over 300 horse power , dang!

  • not a big deal. there are 4 cylinders with 300 hp stock these days

  • Stuff that sucker in a bare bones reg. cab short box ranger.

    add a T-5 or C4 and a 9" @4.10 w/locker.

    instant drag truck.

    .

  • hell yeah!!! id like to see it!!!!

  • turbos running at 170,000 rpm at 1700 degrees throughout the life of the engine...How many miles is this engine spec'd for. What the expected lifespan?

My guess is 2 week after warranty expires...

  • ya seriously, and where did ford get the idea they could charge 45k for a taurus. Thats 2010 s4 and bmw 335xi pricing, and both of those would put it to shame

  • Take this motor, add hybrid technology, and put it all in the Fusion...Bingo!

  • i think the sucess of this car as a "sport / performace" sedan will depend on how well it responds to mods and how quick tuning companies will get into development of performance parts. if it doesnt show good potential right out the gate then its just another taurus, with a lil kick to it

  • nice engine and very nice numbers make it rear drive and ill buy one

  • Would love to see SVT do a Mustang with this motor. Leave the V8s for the Shelby Moniker, SVT go with a good IRS, drop some serious weight, add this motor and stand back. This will be Ford Aftermarkets dream motor.

  • why would they do that when the mustang is getting a new 5.0L V8 with Direct-Injection and with 400hp?

  • Because they can? Actually the V6 will get the duratec 3.5 or 3.7 in 2011. The 5.0 as you know goes to the GT...400hp? I am a bit skeptical, I say we see 380 first years release at best. I think shelby would kill to have this. GT350. Remember Shelby autos started with and likes the v6 cars alot. Likes the idea anyway. Plus it will bring in a different demographic, I would bet a twin turbo six with rwd performance coupe would have its own market outside the current mustang following?

  • I'm surprised you didn't mention the Shelby Terlingua, a supercharged v6 Mustang. 400hp is what Ford's estimating, but I would agree with the 380hp. I'd expect most tuners to want a 3.5L TT version, and the 5.0 for people that love the sound and love the power. If Ford comes out with a 3.7L Direct-Injection engine, I'd expect that as the base v6. Otherwise, the 3.5L DI with close to 300hp.

  • Yep thats my thinking. Base v6 3.5 265 hp 260 trq. Thats a big plus over current v6. Base v6 $22k . Gt gets 5.0 and starts at 28K. Specials off GT go to the low 30ks. Then SVT has the cobra/gt500 50K area. That is a big gap. so a 3.5TT in a hi performance SVT/Shelby pkg would be priced right in with the specials. Depending on how its done even at the 35K plus mark, its abbove GT but well below bigger cobra. I still think that if ford does not do it, Shelby autos will.

  • Sure 265 is a big plus, but your talking about the current model. The direct-injection one will have close to 300hp. And, you can get a nicely loaded GT500 in the mid 40's.

  • im a salesman for ford and got to drive this 2010 taurus SHO and with no doubt it is an all around awesome car, i can go on and on about what this car has and how its def worth the price tag. good job ford

  • I like that Ford is finally catching their cars up with their truck standards which are the planet's best pickups.

  • They need to make it into a diesel, they are getting close.

  • two words bad ass

  • Any real man would want one of these 2010 Taurus SHOs.........this car is the real deal....

  • do i smell a flash raising the boost to 17 psi and around 450hp??? YES YES

  • I heard that this is the best car on the market right now,

  • car of the year

  • and I think I'm in LOOOVEEE!!! with a family car? Gooo FORD!!!
