I just happen to like both Pasi and Tomi, but since I found Amorphis with Tomi first, I lean towards the newer stuff. i really do not like the "Cookie Monster on steroids" death growls. JMHO

@swstryker I will clarify. My comment was more to long term metal fans. Sure it's not your fault if you're a teen and only been into metal a few years. I just get annoyed at long term "metal" fans suddenly discovering them in the last few years. They have been out since 1991, putting out awesome metal for close to 20 years! It's more of a stab at their ignorance than anything - In this multimedia age there really is no excuse for long time metal fans recently finding a band as old as Amorphis.

@Juzman I'm actually not a teen, but I appreciate the compliment! LOL! I'm actually 50 yrs old, but am a fairly new convert to metal. I have a very diverse taste in music, but I definitely lean towards mostly metal, especially symphonic, progressive or just classic. I have found some great stuff out there and I keep finding more it seems like every week. I found Amorphis about a year ago. Love them!

@Juzman Sure there is a good reason. It's a market so over polluted with bands that it makes it hard to discover all the great bands out there. How many thousands of metal bands are there? I've been listening to only metal and punk/hardcore for 29 years and I've listened to more bands then most people can name, but there is a ton more out there I've never heard, even from classic 80's thrash and Death metal. There's not enough time nor money to devout to every great band so you have to choose
