As I recall it, the key of the tune is G, so the lowest note the bass sings is actually a b natural... still... this group's ability to transition so beautifully between so many advanced chord progressions is awesome!

I have the pleasure of working with mark kibble on my wifes project. Just saw them do a Christmas special for the troops in Iraq. They sang with the NCO Symphony. I have NEVER heard a group sing acapella and then have an orchestra come behind in the midst of the song and they are in PERFECT TUNE no flat notes no sharp notes none of that. These guys are hands down the best.

The harmony of Take 6 is beyond human comprehension, and whoever composes there music is nothing short of a GENIUS as well as the members for their flawless execution. They are HIGHYLY underrated. I'll put 'em up there with the greats: Stevie Wonder, B. McKnight, Cooke, Gaye, etc, etc.

They do their own arranging and composing. Most of them have Master degrees in Music Theory. Cedreic Dent (baritone, not the bass, doing rythm section) has his doctorate and is a music professor.

They all take part in the composing, but Mark Kibble (second guy from left) does most of the arranging. He is the groups primary arranger and credited for creating the "Take 6 sound".

Yes I know that is Joey in this performance. I was referring to when I met them 6 months before this when Mervyn did one of his final performances. Joey was not singing with them then. He may have been backstage, but I did not know who he was. 6 months later they did this performance on the Apollo, I was shocked that Mervyn was gone so fast and Joey replaced him.

I had the opposite thing happen to me.They did a concert before the Appolo When Joey made his DEBUT. That was one of the Earliest concerts that I went to see. I *first* saw Take 6 in 1990 in NJ with Mervyn Warren and the second time I saw them in 1991 was when Joey *first* Joined. You could imagine my dismay at frist when I went to the concert and was like... "Who is that?" Where is Merv? Mark Kibble during the show looked at Joey and said "Dont I know you from someplace??" LOL
