A highly controversial & brilliant album that exaggerates social ills and norms! A reference to a "mystery disease"(aids) , and also what the government be working on in Virginia; "they be sprinkling it in the mashed potatoes(crack)". How may of you think "MY potato have been bakin' too long", based on my analysis of Frank's lyrics?L.O.L. "I got your language hangin', boy'! "Undesirables in the condiminum called life"! Yes, the government has to do something about the undesirables!!!
Been a Zappa fan since early 70's. Listened to Thing Fish for the first time just recently. Hit the floor laughing. One of my favorites. "Don't look Abdullah. It's too horrible." Ike Willis sounds like the Kingfish character from Amos and AndyHAHAHAHA
@toastedmonkee Do you have the concept nailed? Please forgive me if you do already but this is about the US government spreading the aids virus in an attempt at 'extremely selective' population control. Tested it on criminals, blacks and gays...
Frank wanted to put it on in Hollywood and they challenged him successfully - maybe one day the world will be ready for this!
@swimologist8 Issac Hayes? I'm sure it's up somewhere. Great album; not quite as good as "Hot Buttered Soul"(1969), though. That's the first Issac Hayes album, and my personal favorite of his.
this is real life

Granted this is why look up "THESLOWDEATH" and wonder why Frank died after sitting in a chair in the house of rep....

galoot update is a very under-rated song. ;-)

2:47 was used in 'porn wars' on 'meet the mothers of prevention'
The whole tune is 'the blue light' from 'tinsel town rebellion' which is slightly annoying...
But that doesn't mean it's a bad song!
