@iimbamii Wrong!.........Very.........wr­ong!.......Fucking........wron­g! And the soundtrack is totally underrated and Cynthia (back then) was a dream come true. Had she stayed in Hollywood she would have been a 70s Goddess but she chose to go back to school. She later married a farmer/rancher and lives north of L.A. She gave the bass in this movie to her son. I feel fortunate to have her autograph. If you'd view the movie for the crazy soap opera that it is you might change your opinion of it.

@icbr No, I get the concept of the movie. It's a satire on exploitation films and the melodrama that is completely regurgitated by cookie cutter movies from Hollywood on a regular basis. Noble enough. But, I still find this movie to be horrible. Doesn't do anything for me.

Stil there were a million such movies coming out in the late 60s (although this was 1970) that were absolutely ridiculous (such as "Psych-Out") which if it wasn' t for the budding genius of a young Jack Nicholson, that WOULD have been the worst of the era. Anyway, to those of you who insist on not liking BVD at least try and dig the soundtrack. Veteran Stu Phillips did a great job handling the writing responsibilities.
