Day 1, evening, go to the bridge and help Don with his haiku.

Then go to the temple.

Find Toyoko and tell him you want to know his secret. He will attack you. If you beat him, he will tell you about the door at the side of the Kurou residence.

Then go to the restaurant and get the quest to save Don. The door on the side will be open. :D
