  • If Narvick is cut off by mountains from the rest of the world and nobody know anything about the place, how do they know it exist in the first place?

  • In some games, Basilisks also get you stoned.

    "Hey you..." BttF

Why so serious? Do I look like I'm joking?

"... game will be over." Nice stumble on a Spaceballs reference.

Maybe its Missile failed because it didn't have the IP?

Out of order?! F***! Even in the future nothing works!

    Pigs in space?

    And more BttF!

  • Ha, I'll show you by blowing up my kingdom.

  • Hey HCBailly, hit me up with that noiiiise!

  • @9:50 "The self destruct sequence has been activated, I repeat, the self destruct sequence has been activated. All employees proceed to the bottom platform..."

  • Curse you, HCBailly! I was literally pumped up to hear the airship theme music, and then you end on a cliffhanger for a musical cue? Cruel. Cruel.

  • They made one of em Female in the remake; and they act very much like Team Rocket too. :P

  • the tank has eyes ;O

  • Buggah!

  • Did you really say "Give em head"???

    Hahahahaha!!!

  • I thought one of the thieves was a woman at first as well... I don't know why, I just did.

  • Basilisks and Cockatrices both supposedly turn people to stone, like Gorgons.

  • @1:47 A giant eyeball! Somebody pass HC a sharp stick!

  • 8:42 Stealth Spaceballs reference! I love it! =D

  • 'Enter top rated comment here'

  • Did you get one gold from the tank? O,o''

  • Hay HC, if you ever do a KOTOR LP, will be The Sidistic HCBailly everytime you end with dark side disciton?

  • Back to the Future reference! :D

Chuck! Chuck! Yeah, it's your cousin... MARVIN BERRY!

  • Hit 'em with your head, give 'em head, for boss time!

  • I know in the remake they make the "boss" of the group a girl but I'm pretty sure they are both guys in this game. I'm sure you've gotten this comment already but I just got home so meh xD.

  • In actual folklore, Basilisks and Cockatrices are basically two variations of the same thing. Snake thingies born from chicken eggs that turn you to stone.

  • @theauthorman123 Also; in the remake, the one with blue hair is a chick. I'm pretty sure they're both dudes in the original, tho.

  • @theauthorman123 You just said the exact two things I was going to post, lol.

  • DAMN YOU CLIFFHANGERS AND ALL YOUR EBILNESS!

*falls asleep and waits for tomarrow*

  • Give a tank head? that could be painful.

  • @autobotjazz1972 Well if the tank decides to blow its load that is.

  • That's why they call him da crafty one... =p

  • that's rally cruel HCBailly worst cliffhanger yet you had a few seconds to show off the music yet you make us wait another day to hear great cliffhanger can't to see the next episode now (:

  • ... Hit him with your head... Give him head... for boss time... XD

  • Was that a " A Christmas Story. " reference? Or something completely different?

  • If anyone wants to hear the airship theme now just watch the trailer for the DS version. :)

  • The airship music is pretty good, but the next dungeon theme is EPIC.

  • Those guys remind me of the Shaker Bros. from Chrono Cross.

  • This has probably been pointed out somewhere, but in the DS remake, one of the thieves, (damned if i can remember which one) is in fact a lady. That's probably where the confusion is coming from.

  • very good episode, really great commentary.

  • "Geez, that tank is armored like a ...tank."

    ~ Raz, from Psychonauts

That's the only tank-related reference that I could think of :P

  • I may be the only person to see it but you only get one gold from destroying a TANK. I'd be pissed

  • Every other stolen royal relic is gotten back without fuss by our heroes.

The Gratze Kingdom's crown? Stuff that! :P

  • 02:30 One of these pillars is not like the others..

  • he's not singing in the rain anymore... he's singeing.

  • Cockatrice and Basilisks are both mythological beasts from the lands around the Mediterranean sea, and are mostly reptilian creatures that turn people to stone. Cockatrices being half lizard chickens, and Basilisks being six or eight legged lizards with beaks.

  • @lordofnightmares

basically depends on the role of the pairing yes?

  • someone in real life lifted a house with baloons. it wasnt attached to the ground of course but they really accomplished it so im sure they can fly a video game boat.

  • I didn't know Maxim and co. were TANK BUSTERS. When do they become METAL SOLDIER or ONE MAN ARMY?

  • Wow. So Gratze *did* have a tank. There's one in the remake too, but they're more willing to sic it on you.

  • 2 Back to the Future references today. Cash.

  • Is it next time yet? :( After this video I'll have nothing to do.

  • there are some myths that Basilisks do turn things to stone, that is the only connection between them and Cockatrices

  • Oh noes I won't have a good day! <(QoQ<)

  • 7:59 Look at that damage! Holy cow!

  • Cockatrices and Basilisks, in mythology, both have the power to turn people to stone(or kill them) by looking at someone. So I guess they could get mixed up.

  • this time the cliffhanger was just epic

  • The blue haired thief is a girl is the DS version.

  • @geno344 They changed selan's hair to blue

  • Interesting Christmas Story reference. "You'll shoot your eye out." <---

  • 9:34 "give him head"............. WHY

  • 1 gold for beating a tank? What a ripoff.

  • @Waterwish545 They spent all their treasure budget building the tank. There wasn't any left for loot.

  • hahaha love the back to the future reference at the end while holding out on the new airship music on us.

  • Who wants to place bets Narvick will be like the Black Mage Village? I dunno, it just kinda seems like the kind of thing they're leading up to...

  • Burning Rain...

Now there's fire raining from the sky.

    Burning Rain...

Going to fry my enemies to crisp.

    Burning Rain...

Now your ass has turned to ash.

    Burning Rain...

  • @thelegendaryhunter0

It's a play on a song called "Chocolate Rain", it's a popular song that got started on YouTube that went viral.

  • @sbcmarine81 Bhahahahahhahah epic!

  • "tank's" for the memories Gratze KIngdom

  • I just finished watching a walkthrough on the Back to the Future game. Suddenly it feels like there are references everywhere...

  • Man, that was an OLLLLD reference at the end (there were like, 3. I'm talking about the "listen to THIS!" one.) XD

    You sadistic bastard~

  • 6:35 no one caught The Dark Knight Reference? O_o

  • If I had 1 gold for every tank I defeated in battle, I'd have. . . 1 gold.

  • The tank's sprite sent me into giggle-fits the first time I saw it. Of course I was 10 at the time but still.

  • @Raditz86 I'm 19 and it made me chuckle just now. Those eyes XD

  • @itachi4492 for me it's mostly the little dude popping out the top with a red flag and a =D smile on his face.

  • @Raditz86 I JUST NOTICED THAT!! Oh man that's hilarious!!! I can't take it seriously at all XD

  • I LOVED THE CLIFFHANGER!

  • well... you didn't tell me to have a nice day at all!!!

  • HCBailly, cockatrices and basilisks both turn their victims to stone. :)

  • @TalarisShuran Exactly, the only difference is that one resembles and appears to be from the bird family while the other from the reptile family (or even snake family apparently they are interchangeable).

  • It's a shame that you can't explore the castle because I bet they would have really good equipment for sale.

  • Nice cliffhanger there. :D

  • 5:13 Back to the Future reference....nice.

  • Hello HCBailly, why are there random voice cutoffs in the video? Not to be offensive though... :D

  • I heard a few not-so-great tank jokes:

What can you hear inside the Tank?

    Heavy metal

Why Tanks are so powerful weapons?

They joined armored side of the force

I know those are pretty bad. I hope someone have better ones....

  • Hm... If it's near the end of the game, I suppose FFT come next? I can barely wait. I never got far in this game. And even less far in FFTA.

  • Im gonna miss this game too but im really looking forward to FF Tactics and Radiant Historia. You make every game fun to watch though HCB

  • Around 1:30; the reason that Basilisks are sometimes mistakenly called Cockatrices is because in myth, they both can cause death from a single glance at their enemy.

  • "give him head" AUGH, NOOO! Why did you say that, now I'm stuck thinking about guy blowing a tank!

  • 2:15-2:21 Simpsons reference?

  • What is a load baring boss

  • @DivineMoogle You know how in lots of RPGs, you'll beat a boss and then the place you're in starts crumbling around you? (Vavalis in FF4 is another good example). That's a load bearing boss because it's a take on the term "load bearing beam" or something in engineering a building where if you remove that one piece, the whole place comes falling down.

  • Actually, historically, basilisks and cockatrices have been variant names for the same mythical beast.

I don't believe that you can return to Gratze once it explodes. I've never had trouble finding dragon eggs after this event, too.

  • @redbuck82 In the DS version one of them is female. I'm not sure why they'd choose to change it, though, seeing as it makes as much sense to have a duo of brotherly thieves as it does to have a Bonney and Clyde duo of thieves. Still, at least they were still pretty funny in the DS version. :D

  • @ZergLurker1 I only very recently created my first Death Knight. Yeah, I'm way behind on the times.

  • @HCBailly You play WoW?!

  • @HCBailly Maybe I should try one again. I never really got into them.

  • @HCBailly I'm pretty sure we know you are behind on the times. You play mostly 80's and 90's RPG's almost exclusively. You don't see me complaining.

  • @HCBailly dude death knights r awesome!

  • @HCBailly what realm is ur DK on?

  • @Reyalamor You can find my guild information on my forums. There's a link in my channel profile.

  • @HCBailly didnt see it

  • @HCBailly I'm sure you tie in some DK quotes in FFT with all the various knights you face.

  • I just love how it sounds like a jazz bassist is playing in the battle theme.

  • I'd love to see you LP Breath of Fire II, HC! I'm sure your reactions to the plot and characters would have me laughing my ass off.

Also, those two thieves called themselves brothers in one of the previous episodes - they're both male. Unless you're playing the DS version. Then they're lovers.

  • @7thlittleleopard They're lovers in the DS version!? Umm....are they still both males?

  • ARGH!!!!!!!! You HAD to cliff hanger us there??!!! How sadistic!!!

  • tank you very much hc for making these videos

  • I like how you got 1 Gold from the Tank.

  • Aw man, what a cliffhanger... I wanted the awesome music...

And yeah, I always thought Berty and Bart were two guys, as well. There's no indication otherwise, I think. In Curse that's a different matter, of course.

Oh, and not that it matters, but I think you forgot the tank in the tags (and maybe the soldiers too)

  • Great Back to the Future Reference!

  • Basilisks and Cockatrices can both get you stoned :)

  • they can turn u to stone in both rpgs and mythology

  • HCBailly, I know this is probably going to sound really dumb, but what do you mean when you say "He's a load-bearing boss"? I'm probably spelling that all wrong too.

  • @KirbyChan Its the cliche that a boss dying always causes the dungeon to collapse or something like that.

  • @KirbyChan Wiki: In video games, a load bearing boss is a boss whose defeat results in the imminent collapse of the building, dungeon or tower they were located in, meaning the hero or heroes must make a dramatic escape.

  • @VegeXP I see! Thank you for the info ^-^ It makes sense now.

  • He's being sarcastic about them Basilisks and Cockatrices having nothing in common.

  • Basilisks and Cokatrise both have the ability to turn you to stone

    in most RPGs.

  • HCBailly: I don't think Basilisks and Cockatrices have anything in common, Me: They can turn you in to the stone?

  • You know, I never heard of Lufia before and wasn't gonna watch it. But now that I do, I am enjoying my time :D
