i know its an odd comparisson but this kinda reminds me of protest and lamb of god, started out with more of a 'core' sound and raspy throat screams and later evolved into really tight bands that kept a slight influence from the "core" side of things but became more inovative and progressive using less breakdowns, tighter riffs and vocalists that really perfected their craft

I don't know how you can be so ignorant to say this DOESN'T sound like Emmure. I love the Contortionist to death, but you absolutely cannot deny this doesn't resemble Emmure at all. It has all the dissonant chords, the slow one-fretter breakdowns, the annoying speak-shouting. Haha. I love this band, but you don't have to get all butthurt when someone says this sounds like a far less technical band.

tuning is bad. :( exoplanet was the best, it would be the greatest mistake of this band to become a generic deathcore/dunnowhatcore band. they are made for lyric parts like in flourish or oscillator. always when i hear contortionist im going fast-forward to those parts :) <3

I bought this shit from them years ago. Came as a burnt CD with shitty handwriting. Didn't even know the song titles for a while. One of my favorite EPs ever, you can listen to the whole thing through nonstop and it never gets boring or sounds out of place. I went to see them in a shitty bar in RI. I was one of maybe 5 people there for the show and they didn't play any of these tracks. broke my heart.
