Enya told us that dark things were ahead, yet there was still a glimmer of hope.
Annie Lennox told us that that the evil was behind us, and we could finally rest.
But Emiliana Torrini showed us the darkness, right when we were in the very middle of it, or maybe about to enter it. This song haunts me. It showed what evil the Ring could cause and how mad and bitter it could drive people. Many were lost at Helm's Deep. Frodo and Sam are about to enter the land of shadow. It is their darkest hour.
i think he was just blinded by his lost son and then when he "lost" his second son the grief vercome him so i wouldnt say he was evil or a coward just... grieving? lol
@3camman Didn't really intend to be sarcastic, but it sure does look sarcastic when I read that comment again, yeah... Well whatever, irony and sarcasm is stupid pre-sumptions in the written language. Do not expect stuff to be irony man, most times it probably is, but your'e never sure, right?
this is haunting yet beautifull song also explains alot about gollum and how he sufferd for so many years by the ring also shws the suffering of his other side....the...good side of him...it was never his fault...to be like this...makes you think about...how people....suffer in almost the same way... no one can deserve a fate like this...
I totally agree! This song is the only reason that The Two Towers is my favorite out of the three. Not the biggest fan of her voice, but the song's too great to let that effect my opinion.
my precious >:)

if you listen to the lyrics... and think about gollums story... it really DOES discribe him. poor thing.

I love how haunting and morose this song is. It's probably the saddest song I've ever heard. "You are lost. You can never go home...." Love it.
