  • I posted a similar message in the "Shutting Detroit Down" vid.

44,315 people have watched this vid. Type Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber into your youtube search bar and see how many are watching that crap.

Want to know why our country's going down the drain? There you go, no questions asked.

  • Very talented artist, but I have a hard time believing that we would be speaking German or living under a Japanese flag, had we not intervened in WWII. I look forward to the day when we can follow the advice of our founders, and not become so entangled in the foreign affairs of other nations.

  • @thefish103 Totally agree with you on the foreign affairs part, with a minor correction. It wasn't the advice of all the Founding Fathers, it's a quote from George Washington (still one hell of a source).

Remember that the Japanese attacked us, not the other way around. Also, with our devotion to multiculturalism and equality we would have been Hitler's priority 1 with a bullet (no pun intended) after he finished conquering Europe, which he probably would have done if we hadn't intervened.

  • it fits to what my family has done

  • my great uncle was in the british royal airforce in WWll he got shot down and earned a purple heart that my grandmother still hold close to her heart till this day... these are the kinds of songs that motivate people like me... which is why i enlisted in the navy for 8 yrs

  • @Dgoogs2hip thanks for your service 22 years in the airforce i retired and i was a colnol by the end ofi tthank you for you service i was injured and i love the people like you who fouoght for us

  • Love the song, bought the album, John Rich is the man! My grandpa was a medic in WW2, and had 2 purple hearts and a bronze star, he is gone now, but he will always be my hero.

  • To hobomisster, the phrase "we'd all be speaking German, livin under the flag of Japan", is about WWII. Japan and Germany were allies. If we would have lost it could have been possible we would be speaking German. After all they would have takin over our land and gov't.

  • The poster on here titled "scorzeny" is an idiot. I am not nervous with this song and I'm a liberal. I'm proud of the song and what it stands for so eat it hater :0)

  • we need more men like you Mr. Rich, thank you so much for writing such a great song!!! i remember hearing this song on the radio during mamorial weekend and i blasted it in my truck!!!

my grandfather on my moms side was the head cook on a submarine (the sailors called him the most important man because he kept them fed hahaha)

my grandfather on my dads side had bad eyesight so he stayed home and helped build things for the war effort

  • Makes me cry everytime I hear it. My Uncle had 6 purple hears, earned during WWII and Korea. He just died last August. I played taps for his funeral. He was the finest and bravest man I've ever known. All of these liberal motherfuckers need to to shut the fuck up. God bless America.

  • An awesome song. My Grandfather was a fighter piolit in WWII. He flew the P-51 Mustang. He cried listing to this song.

  • This song is so amazing.I've laughed and cried during it.John Rich Is The Man.

  • Six purple heart assume. I had a SSGT in Iraq who had six from Vietnam and earned his seventh in iraq the man can not walk with out a cane and tried to come back. While Ican say its not healthy to stand next to him. He had heart

  • just so deep and nice

  • God Bless our troops! Thank you so much John for writing this amazing song, it reminds me very much of my great uncle who was killed in World War II in Italy and both of my grandfathers who served in World War II and Korea

  • I thank them for their service.godbless

  • my grandfather on my mother's side served in the US Army during WWII as an MP, I hope to continue my family's tradition of service to our nation as I am now enrolled in ROTC at Syracuse University and hope to be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force

John thank you for writing a song honoring the generation that both my grandfather's were members of, though they are both no longer here, it brings back great memories of them

    God Bless our Troops!!!

  • what an amazing song!!! My great uncle (my grandmother's only brother) was killed in World War II, he was a private in the 10th Mountain Division and he was killed the day after he turned 19, both of my grandfather's also served as well, my grandfather on my father's side faught in the Battle of the Bulge as a member of the Belgian Underground and came to the US after the war and enlisted in the Army and served in Korea

  • yep!

    he sings that song, also.

  • is he the singer "another you"??

  • you guys should check out machosauceproductions! its like politics but he does it cool! i put it on here since everyone was talkin about obama/McCain, even though its over

  • I love this guy's voice. What a powerful song.

  • I saw John Rich perform this song on Veteran's Day on the Intrepid in NYC and it was awesome. My father and father-in-law both served in WWII, my husband in Vietnam, Persian Gulf and my son now serves in Iraq. God Bless America and our Veteran's.

  • can someone send me the tabs to this song????

  • i have the most respect for all veterans who ever had to leave thier homes and fight a war and loose brothers on forgein soil. if only the people of my generation could apprieciate it more. go MCCAIN!

  • This song is so sad and awsome. Go McCain!!!!

  • My Dad was in the Philippines also during WWII.

Stephen A McDaniel, 1922-1990 God Bless You Daddy.

  • My great grandad died in Febuary of this year. He was a WWII vet and a Preacher the rest of his life. This song reminds me of him. RIP Elton Joy Lee Haley

  • My Great Grand Father faught in WWII as well. I currently serve in the United States Navy and say thank you for posting that video. Please dont ever take it down. JoryLee USN

  • McCain says Obama is just like Britney and Paris--but McCain wears $520 Ferragamo shoes???

Obama's family dressed him down on national television for owning the same suit pants for over a decade; and McCain wears $520 Italian shoes????

I think one of these candidates has confused his lavish Washington lifestyle with the 'experience' needed to run the country. I for one think it's a GOOD thing Obama hasn't spent his adult life living it up in Washington!

  • I dont think Obama has enough experience.......McCain has been around for quite awhile to have the experience lol

  • I agree. We are soo screwed right now.

  • yep lol we are now the ass- American Socialist States lol

  • And what does that have to do with this song??

  • Amy your an ignorant idot !! If you dont like America LEAVE !! This is a great song John !

  • john rich = sexxxsiii.

  • I think its great but I have to admit I am truly sadden, that true politics are evil, and though I see nothing wrong with pride of these soliders, but one mustn't forget the damn cowards of politicians that send them overseas to die while they stay cushy at home. my granddad was a WWII vet and my uncle a vietnam vet and the message they gave me about the war is very different from this song. I don't know why the views are different cuase the only difference from john's granddad and mine is race.
