Depends on the state you're in. I'm 19 and it costs me like 275 a month for a V6 BonneVille 2003 if I got my own insurance. And closer to 450 a month for a decent V8 sports coupe of that year. Luckily I'm on my parents insurance lol 65 a month :D

and just to let everyone know, there are PLENTY of people scing v6 mustangs. we can put an M112 from an 03-04 cobra on our v6s and have over 330-340 wheel hp. for $2800. thats still less than buying a GT and having less hp and being slower.

A. For those asking why bother supercharging a V6 its simple. Some bought a V6 and may not want or afford a GT so its cheaper to SC a V6. Also depending on the SC it can be unique. Personally Im going to M112 Eaton my 6. For those that dont know its the stock factory SC for the Termi cobras (03-04).
B. The 3.8 or 3.9 can take up to roughly 11PSI on stock internals. This can bring you up to around 300-330RWHP while will stomp the shit outta a stock GT.

why would i pay for a gt if i can have a nice suspension setup(rear sway bar-subframes-kmember-lowering springs-shockstruts,etc) aftermarket;turbo kit and making about 375hp at the wheels (425 hp at the crank aprox) and paying less money than a GT.
plus my ride will be outdriving 99% of the cars out there. with a $50/month of insurance like me.

I'm sorry but I don't understand why you would supercharge a V6, get 310ish HP,
when you can super charge a v8 and get around 400+.
A V6 is a waste of money compared to a GT.
For the same amount of money you put into the V6 you get twice as much power in the V8.
Let's get back to reality here.

not really, you can buy a v6, supercharge it and still be way under the sticker price of the GT, and be plenty faster. not to mention pay less for insurance, and gas.

its not really about affording the gt.. as far as say a 5 year finance goes it around $50 more a month to hit up the gt.... heres what gets you :
1) higher tune up fees due to 8 cylinders
2) a much larger increase in insurance due to the engine
3)gas ofcourse

thats probly the dumbest statement ive ever heard. the 99-04s have the same capabilities of being supercharged. and they are lighter than the 05+'s.
and just to let everyone know, there are PLENTY of people scing v6 mustangs. we can put an M112 from an 03-04 cobra on our v6s and have over 330-340 wheel hp. for $2800. thats still less than buying a GT and having less hp and being slower.
plenty of good sounding v6s out there too. i love how mine sounds personally

no one buys a v6 over a GT if they had the money. i know i would have a GT right now if i could afford the unsurance, but thats not the case. so we do what we can with our v6s, and unfortunately for the GTs we can put out more power than them while paying less than their car is stock.

really people its just wat you do to your car and how you upgrade it im a gt man but the v6's are cheaper for people that cant afford it i got lucky and found a cheap gt and gto's aren't impressive at all a well tuned cobra will kill it and if you put that SC in it we have a charger in the garage that will rip it apart and has done so many times

A. For those asking why bother supercharging a V6 its simple. Some bought a V6 and may not want or afford a GT so its cheaper to SC a V6. Also depending on the SC it can be unique. Personally Im going to M112 Eaton my 6. For those that dont know its the stock factory SC for the Termi cobras (03-04).
B. The 3.8 or 3.9 can take up to roughly 11PSI on stock internals. This can bring you up to around 300-330RWHP while will stomp the shit outta a stock GT.

cobras are not even a second faster than the gto and when i get mine supercharged.... it wont even compare.... header back exhaust, cold air intake, cam, and tuned ecu by toyspeed racing havnt ran against any since it was stock, but i bet it would be close

that's partially true. What they're doing is introducing a V6 , a V6 with twinturbo "Ecoboost", and new V8. They will see how the turbo V6 will sell and go from there.
And this is ALL ASSUMING THAT they ARE PLANNING on using the EcoBoost in the 2010+ Mustangs. KEYWORD: ASSUMING.

I really hope they stick with their idea of the Ecoboost, as it will be great to have a mustang with the power of a V8, yet much more fuel efficient.

yep thats true, I also dont get why other v6 owners put the Rear GT bumper and hood on unless it came stock from the factory that way which is rare. when you can just get a hot body kit like the Roush Stage 3 for 99-2004 models or Saleen has a nice one.. but why make it look like the base model GT thats kind of stupid..

well you just showed your ignorance. the 3.8 can handle 14psi on an internally stock engine. the block is good well past 500rwhp whereas the 5.0 has core sift issues over 450. also that puny V6 has larger rods and mains than the 5.0. it was a modified copy of Buick's 231 but better. not as good as a stage 2 buick but better than a stage 1 901 block. please don't comment when you don't know what your talking about. it doesn't make you look good

why would i pay for a gt if i can have a nice suspension setup(rear sway bar-subframes-kmember-lowering springs-shockstruts,etc) aftermarket;turbo kit and making about 375hp at the wheels (425 hp at the crank aprox) and paying less money than a GT.
plus my ride will be outdriving 99% of the cars out there. with a $50/month of insurance like me.

I have a 2005 V6 with a Vortech V2-SQ and 10lbs... im putting down 310rwhp and 305rwtq.. and for a total of less than 28g...which is the base for a gt... SO in response SSStang congrats.... i love it. and all u other people trash talking a V6 show us what u have... And take a look at Pauls High Performance V6....running a 10.88???
