If we take M5 for it's price , i think M5 is better than Veyron , and i can see that you have no info about cars because 420 was written on speedometr but in fact veyron goes 408 km h the newest which bugatti veyron supersport can reach at 432 kmh but it was limited to 413 kmh. no matter i don't think you can drive any car on highway at 380km h or 400 km h.

to all who are wondering, why the m5 can reach over 330 kmh:

because of the transmission!!! it was built for high speed. M5 shifts at 290 km from 6th into 7th gear. and has a long 7th gear, which makes it possible to reach those speeds, while other cars get stuck in the limiter in the 6th gear. all those sportscar should be afraid of delimited M5's

@oookram because the energy required to overcome the almost exponentially increasing wind resistance at those speeds need to be enormous. Thats why the bugatti needs over 1000 HP to break the 400 kmt limit.

Because you need much more horsepower after 300km/h. For example bugatti needs only 500hp to reach 300km/h but it needs additional 500hp (1000hp in total) to go from 300km/h to 400km/h
