  • WOW! I love this solo! I will look for more of your stuff. you have great ideas and you have a beautiful style.

    very inspiring! thank you!

  • This solo reminds me a bit of a Miles solo...

  • Jozsikam milyen hurokat hasznalsz? Nagyon lacso! Minden nap meghalgatom vagy 3szor! Anti

  • Fucking Burning!!!

  • did you really need to swear?

  • @silvercloth YES, WE ALL FUCKING DO.

  • brilliant!

  • that was nice

  • amazing solo, bravo

  • when you pick it with your fingers it's is not as loud as it would be if you struck it sideways like the bass player in this video also you need to stike very hard compared to an electric bass guitar

  • its not the side motion you are looking for it is a downward motion pressing into the finderboard and then sideways. It makes it project louder. Transitioning from the classical pizz to jazz might take some time to build up the caluses. And it always depends on the bass. Most guys use a pickup on there bass. there are very few basses that project that loud pizzicado because usually they are carved not plywood( aka not schools bass) and those cost alot of money.

  • great player

  • increible solo muy bueno

  • aki tud az tud! :)

  • Ez a world class!!bravóóóó

  • I play bass also.. it is because you dont have an electric bass. u just have a standard one, like me.. :)..hope i helped.

  • hey guys... im new to playing upright bass.. and i dont own one eyt... but the one i play on in school isnt very loud when i play it.. like when i pick it with my figners.. why is that?

  • It is harder for the human ear to pick up low tones so just pull harder on the strings, in order to play loud you need to pull harder than you think you should. it takes practice to play loud and fast, (I have a hard time doing it sometimes) and also at first it will hurt but our fingers will get stronger. (Large jazz band will often mike the bass for this reason)

  • if its not your technique thats a problem, it could be a crappy school bass too. things like old strings and a badly configured soundpost will make your bass sound softer.

  • I thought that sounded great. That's exactly the style I played when I was playing a lot: Marc Johnson-ish, more free, unconventional, modern, use of space, "out", etc.

I haven't heard this dude before, but I better check him out some more. He rules!

  • Awesome solo!

  • that snare drum is annoyingly pangy.....

  • nice playing. Back to the shed.

  • v nice indeed . i love fast bebop!

  • Wow. Killer Solo. Very good technique and speed. Post some more.

  • Really nice solo, I just don't understand the concept of buying an upright bass if your going to play it like an big ass fretless. Pull those damn strings!!!

  • i don't see what's odd about his technique

  • Have you ever played upright bass? :P

  • man all your bass solos must sound the same

  • gratulálok!

  • Let bass player take his solo without the drummer noodleing around,When i take a solo I want the drummer to keep straight time. Very nice solo.

  • Man I would rock if I could play that!
