The Wall of sound was ok in its day, if you read up on it its sole purpose was to make the track sound better on mono equipment such as transistor radios of the day,
The same cannot be said of the wall of sounds transistion onto stereo amps. baby i love you sounds muffled and scratchy and no its not the record.
Very nice voice and real easy to look at . The Ronettes version was good too, but they had Phil Spector and his "Wall Of Sound" on their side. Hard to beat that Phil Spector sound, but I do like Sandy Posey's vibrato and phrasing. Great recording.
sandy posey sang, baby i love you, originally by the ronnettes, i have the greatest hits cd with that song on it, but have not been able to find the video, any idea,s, anyway i love sandy, great voice, to bad she did not make it as a singer
...Truly a great song. A piece of Americana that makes America complete. One can bytch about the Beatles, Elvis or the Eagles being better...And one might not refute it....But none can dispute the importance of such "Sonic Alchemy" as such pieces as this. Pieces as this help to fill the void between Miss Patsey and Mr. Marvin Gay...Bravo Miss Sandy, Bravo...
I wondered if it would turn out to be the Ronettes song of the same title, and it did. Also done by Andy Kim. Written by Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich, probably with a Phil Spector songwriting credit in there, too.

As I said in my original message, Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich definitely wrote it. Phil Spector usually picked up a songwriting credit for songs written originally for artists he produced. This may be such a song. I have not had a chance to check this out since I posted my original remark. The original hit was by the Ronettes. The lead singer was Veronica "Ronnie" Bennett, who had a short-lived, abusive marriage with Specter some years later.
...Ok, now that was sooo sweet, I've never heard it sung better! This is by far, arguably, her best, sweetest and timeless rendition song of all time....Excellent!.
Loved it back when, love it now. One of those "yearning for you" songs that meant a lot, when we were out raking hay and baling grasshoppers, twenty miles from town on a Saturday night.
Sounds like a Pat Boone cover. No soul at all...... boring.

THIS is really a nice version - softer and more feminine and nicely done by
Sandy Posey, who never somehow quite received the musical attention she
deserved.
