If this is the sort of effort Gibson put into marketing the guitar, I have to assume they have done the same bad job and lack of effort in making the guitar and so I won't be buying one. Their only marketing for the BFG is its the highest output guitar they've ever made; they don't talk at all about the versatility of a P90 neck with a humbucker bridge, then they make a demo where you can't hear any tone.

i tried one out in a guitar shop a couple of weeks ago as i recently bought a guitar and this is what i thought-
-=The sound is really great but not what you expect from an instrument that has been made by gibson.
-=The neck is clumsy and makes it difficult to play.
-= They arent varnished so they will scratch easily.
-= they come without a trussrod cover which coupled with the non varnish finsh make it look old and nicely reliced but think how will it look after 9 or 10 years

It is a good guitar. I've seen it, heard it and read some reviews about it on magazines. It is ideal for punk and relevant rock styles, and I really like the magnet choice for the neck, but as far as the "raw" image is concerned it seems Gibson overdid it in some spots. Looks almost careless in some, so check yours really close before buying it.

I gave it a 1 star rating and it thanked me for rating. Correct 'cause that's the lowest rating, and I would give it a -10 if possible.
I have to agree with most here...if you want to show what a guitar can really do...it's best not to crank an LP through something that sounds like a solid state amplifier with all of the gain (or distortion) turned up...play a bunch of CHUNKA CHUNKA riffs that can't possibly show a guitar's beauty in tone. A beautiful pickup like a P90 was meant to sing some blues...or some great Beatles tunes, even!

I own a BFG and it is a great guitar. I love playing it and I love how it sounds and feels. It is the lightest guitar I own by far. I actually think the unfinished wood is much more comfortable on my fret hand. Great guitar, but the poeple who made this ad should all be fired.

And yes it is not very well music it should be very more heavy the intro is fun 0.30 till -0.40 that's really my style of playing. and that's the reason why i would like to know if this guitar could play some really heavy stuff.

i believe you mean design not designs because it truly is one design w\just having different cut away depths and larger "butts" and it may be the most ripped off but it's still just one design, i was simply saying that gibson has multiple design and if you only look at the les paul you're being quite narrow minded.

It looks like a bad spoof of Gibson. I can't believe they made - or just REALISE that they made - such a ridiculous video. I tried to laugh a bit but even that didn't work. I gave it a 1 star rating and it thanked me for rating. Correct 'cause that's the lowest rating, and I would give it a -10 if possible.

I have to agree with most here...if you want to show what a guitar can really do...it's best not to crank an LP through something that sounds like a solid state amplifier with all of the gain (or distortion) turned up...play a bunch of CHUNKA CHUNKA riffs that can't possibly show a guitar's beauty in tone. A beautiful pickup like a P90 was meant to sing some blues...or some great Beatles tunes, even!

I own a BFG and it is a great guitar. I love playing it and I love how it sounds and feels. It is the lightest guitar I own by far. I actually think the unfinished wood is much more comfortable on my fret hand. Great guitar, but the poeple who made this ad should all be fired.
