  • hell to the fuqqen nawl tht shit look aah bold headed mess she need to sit aah fuqqen wig on tht head aha butt she kewtt butt not her face!.

  • Can I say Beauty come naturally!

  • I guess she was influenced by those that believe that a head ful of hair "makes the woman" or she has lost her edge...I saw a pic just a few days ago of her rocking a full Chaka/Angela Davis styled massive head of hair....No amount of Dr. Miracles will make a TWA transform so fast! Here's to variety!!!

  • wowwww she is brave 2 do dat and in public! omg, she my new natural hero! :)

  • @Sugarypop13 i did the same about 17 months ago and before i just didnt have the confidence and love and admiration for my hair to do it but i just got fed up with all the chemicals and thought fuck it lol. and i did it

    it was VEEERRRRYYYYYYY LIBERATING

  • She should have the role for the Aaliyah movie project

  • She looks stunning with her natural look! Her face is so beautiful and you can see it so much better, not to mention she just blends in with long hair. With her natural hair she stands out! You are an inspiration Solange. Thank you!!!

  • Atleast we'll know what beyonce wil look like with short hair, lol

  • solange has managed to developed her own individual style and has her own identity which isnt easy being the younger sibling of such a superstar such as her sister... so well done.. and keep rocking the natural look such an antidote to the endless blonde weaves beyonce puts on i find it refreshing

  • am proud of solange to show her real natural beautiful look unlike beyonce

  • she look actually liyke beyonce

  • She stop trying to be a fake european.....

  • SHE LOOKS FIERCE!! I LOVE IT!! (fellow natural lady)

  • if she get bored she could do what her sister does and put ona wig.

  • @mmimmie6 but in work it out she doesn't have a wig. her afro is real. it is in AP that it was a wig. and even last year she went natural once again.

  • She does look good, she is wearing her hair like God intended her to wear her hair. Also when your hair is short and curly, you pay more attention to the face. Which Solange has a beautiful face!

  • Black Men need to let their black daughters and sons know that their African features are beautiful. This way, the girls will be proud of their features and the boys will not talk down on the way their "sistahs" look. When black men talk down on the features of their black females the female will want to change her look to meet the "beauty standard". Movies, TV etc will always be white dominated, so this education has to begin and continue in the home.

  • She need to inspire her weave-fanatic sister who many young women look up to more than her.

  • @CastleRecordz I heard that! You right, but oh well, I doubt if Beyonce would ever go natural, she barely goes short.

  • i dont wear weave my hair is natural although i do get a perm every 4months but im sorry i couldnt shave my head it took me to long to grow it where its at now i refuse to start over but it looks good on her though

  • of course solange is realy beautyful I mean she's one half of the KNOWLES SISTERS

  • loool shes friends with sofia bush?? and honestly I feel that only black girls can rock these short hair cuts and styles, this is coming from a non black persons point of view btw not being racist, I just think they have the right features and facial structures to rock short styles, and she looks beautiful both ways

  • i will admitt i have a crush on solange she is really beautiful

  • i will admitt i have a crush on solange

  • Everyone is different .. Hair is not in an epidemic . its a style and apart of everyone of us till the day we die . We all have differences on how to present of ourselves to the world. some care, some don't , some change there hair style based on the there favorite celeb and its sad but hell this is why we live in america.. the freedom to do whatever the hell you want to yourself, your body and YOUR hair .. care n love everything about yourself

..btw Solange.omgoodness.. love that natual look

  • i didnt know Beyonce had a brother..........lol

  • @iamAMANdotcom You must be a non person of colour. Or under 12 years of age. Hurry to your next class.

  • @rockinspiritphoto Good one......

  • @iamAMANdotcom ...that comment was not humorous at all.

  • Wow, I really couldn't care less about this bitch. This is in my recommendations why?

  • i love it! she has a swagger thats out of this world! i just lover her style omg!

  • I just love that beautiful black long hair tho!... thats just so sexy to me. oh well its her hair she can do what she want's to it.

  • She looks beautiful with or without long hair.

  • naps and bee bees thats what happen when a man utterly destroys your heart

  • she rocks it good

  • hot

  • too cute!

  • she is more pretty natural.. it is so beautiful on her.. u can see her face more..she looks like a model

  • I think she's prettier than Beyonce ( just my opinion).

  • @Be1smaht totally agree with you there..she has more natural beauty..she dont need to add anything!

  • ONE WORD,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BEAUTIFULL,

  • @MsWagt I agree, fake tan does look stupid, too. We're all aware that people choose to look a certain way, what the discussion was about was why they may make that particular choice.

  • i hate it

  • i think she was beautiful before , and still is . with or without lonq hair .

  • She looks beautiful.

  • I Like it

  • Hot, hot, hot!

  • Solange is a natural beautiful. The type of beautiful which stands out without makeup. She'd stop a train load of men even with shaved head.

  • @rockinspiritphoto well said!

  • She looks great to me.

  • SHE DOES NOT LOOK A HOT MESS, THAT WAS A NASTY THING TO SAY AT LEASE SHE IS GIVING THE NATURAL HAIR A TRY,A VERY WISE MAN[pbuh] SAID IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY YOU SHOULD KEEP QUIET.

  • Im sorry but natural is not for everyone...And she looks a HOT MESS!!! i dont care how much money she has or what expensive clothes and jewelry she is rockin i think this was a bad choice....

  • I like her with her weave and without. To me wearing a weave doesn't mean you're trying to be white. Personally, its easier to manage imo. I want longer hair so i wear clip-in extensions, but once my hair as reached the length I want...I won't wear it, hell I won't even straighten it much. Its about style sometimes not always about being afraid to be black. Solange knowles is beautiful either way, and that smile of hers is so cute!

  • Women of all races wear fake hair, get their hair dyed, and chemically changed. But when it's a Black woman, she's trying to "look White". Yes it's 2011, so let these women do whatever the fuck they want with their hair. The "bondage" here is telling women that because they're Black; there's a certain way they should keep their hair. Not all Black women, who change their hair, are insecure. They do it simply because they want to apply different styles and experiment with their looks.

  • so, i totally love this look on her. she looks amazing, and has the perfect face for this look.

  • absolutely gorgeous!!!

  • when she first did it i was like omg she look crazy but as i continued to see her and saw pics of her before she is pretty with long hair but stunning with her crop cut just stunning

  • i dont follow her but i saw her on yo gabba gabba and my baby loves her song. it's cute. i didnt know she was beyonce's sister until this video.. she is far more beautiful than beyonce. i love her real hair and think it makes her a hell of alot prettier than before.

  • I wear my own hair long & straight most of the time, then occassionally to change my look, I will wear it big & loosly wavy. My point is that it's nobody's business what style or texture that I choose to wear. I do me for me, not the next person. I think that Solange looks beautiful with both looks, but I especially like the long silky hair better on her because it looks more feminine. I'm just saying.

  • @mochacreamdoll LOOSE your WIG, woman.

  • @kunzy3000 What are you smoking? I am bi-racial with real hair below my bra strap. You must be bald headed and also from a bald headed family to assume such a thing. I do Pre-poos, co-washes, deep penetrating moisturizers, cold water rinses to seal in my conditioner, I wash my hair every other day, I use sulfate free shampoo and a great conditioner, I do IC scalp treatments, use leave in conditioners, pro-vitamin leave ins and heat protectors. Also, I use wide tooth combs and gently detangle it.

  • @kunzy3000 When I am at the club, women actually follow me into the bathroom to get a closer look at my hair to see if it's real because not only is my hair long, but it's very thick and healthy because I know how to take care of it. My Fiance loves to run his fingers through my silky hair and even pull on it occassionally. He even gives me scalp massages because it turns him on. It's been a long time since I have seen a White, Hispanic or Asian that I would trade my long fur like hair with!

  • @kunzy3000 I hate weaves, wigs, braided extensions, dreadlock extensions, etc. and I don't trust beauty shops to do my long & healthy hair because I haven't been able to find a stylist who can even take care of her own hair and they always use fine tooth combs that cause breakage. If a stylist is wearing a weave or is bald headed herself, there's no way that I'd trust her to take care of my healthy hair. Good Hair means no business for beauty shops!

  • Why is solange prettier and almost more humble than beyonce? and why do I like her btr hmm

  • SOLANGE KNOWLES IS PRETTIER THAN BEYONCE AND THAT'S A FACT!!

  • I am loving her hair. Not only can she sing she is not a follower and not afraid to unweave herself and be herself.. I love women of all races, shapes, complexions, and sizes. I love their beauty period so please be ever wonderful in who and what you are ladies.

  • Is it just me or does Solange look like Kelly Roland and her sister Beyonce put together?

  • she look like granny with her real hair....

poor her standing next to queen beyonce.. she is nothing

  • Um, a recent response to my words a month a

go has caused me to feel a tad confused, I have not said that Black females strive to be "white" by rocking weaves, braids, far from it in fact.

Just bemused that my words have been taken as such, I suppose folk see/read what they want to see/read.

Hmm.....very interesting, look, as I said a month ago, we as Black females are the ONLY section of society who are obsessed over when looks/hairstyles are concerned, it is madness and needs to stop..bless.

  • @linkin5961 Cool !

  • she looks prettier with the low cut

  • Real beauty is when you can look drop dead gorgeous with a fade and with long wavy locks. She looks beautiful with her hair like that.

  • She's hot either way but I kinda wish more Black girls would go natural as some of these weaves look silly at times. I'm a white bloke ,if that matters.

  • @emanuele6461 LOL, I think more black women need to here that from a white bloke like yourself....LOL maybe they will actually look at themselves as being beautiful and their hair. When I first went natural it was actually a white stylist, and half white/Korean BF that convinced me to do it.

  • @emanuele6461 White girls are hot without the tanning i kinda wish they would stay natural instead of tanning their skins it can look really fake and ridiculous at times. I'm a black girl by the way.

  • @emanuele6461, Maybe ppl should stop assuming that a black girl with long hair has weave. My gf is black and her hair is long...no weave. It's upsetting that ppl always assume that she wears weave.

  • @nowhitegirlsforme the problem is that most black girls don't have their own hair because they are too busy trying to add fake shyt and cannot live with their own stuff because they already damaged it from trying to overly press it or perm it. Congratulation your GF has real hair. Her mama probally taught her to take care of it and not to fry and dye it.

  • @PlainTruth08, I don't know "Most" black girls...but I'm sure that you don't either. Where do you get off making the claim that most black girls add fake hair? Have you gone up to most black girls and asked them if their hair was fake or not?? This is the common stereotype and misconception that my gf complains about all the time. The fact that it is assumed that "most" black girls wear fake hair. Btw: All races of women dye their hair. Natural Blondes are very rare. I know..I've dated all races

  • @emanuele6461 Amen to that my brother... hang on I'm a white guy too!!

  • @emanuele6461 as a black man i got to agree with u

  • okay newsflash: its bcoz i came in her hair and it dried up so she decided to cut it.

  • hot

    MUY CALIENTE

  • i like it, its edgier

  • Lol who cares? She's beautiful either way. Black women with pressed hair didnt come from idolizing anyone. White women or otherwise. Pressed hair has been a thing for a very long time. XD I'm sick of people thinking that way. Me? I like a taste of everything. Some people just have different preferences. Doesnt make anyone better or worse.

  • Orlando Jones?

  • i love it

  • IM LOVING THE SHORT N NATURAL ON HER. IT GIVES HER HER OWN STYLE AND IDENTITY. KEEP ROCKIN IT SOLONG YOU ARE SOOOOO PRETTY. SHE LOOKS BETTER THAN BEYONCE TO ME WITH THIS STYLE.

  • def hot

  • Thats definitely hot on her It makes her look more mature and edgy Luv It!!!

  • From womanly to manly.

  • @FRANKYMOOK

What would possess a 34 year old male to make such an ignorant comment.....why not just focus on your family channel, for such a positive channel you have, oh, SUCH a negative comment to make on matters that quite frankly, have NOTHING to do with you...... once again, your personal channel is sweet, your comment here is NOT!

  • @kindakooky1 I can comment on what ever I like. Which is why we are able to post comments here, so the ignorant comment in this matter seems to be yours my friend.

  • i think she's hotter with no hair. It gives her an edge.

  • Yes she's beautiful!

  • @ bshainhunter I CAN'T HELP BUT THINK THAT JLO & EVA LONGORIA WOULD SAY THAT THEY ARE PROUD TA BE LATINO NOT WHITE. HOWEVER I DON'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH WANTING MORE LOCKS, LOOKING TANNED ETC ALTHOUGH I DON'T INDULGE TOO MUCH OF THAT MYSELF IF A WOMAN OR MAN DECIDES TO HAVE ALL THAT THEN WHY NOT BUT IT'S GOTTA BE ONE TIRING PROCESS EVERYDAY & TAKE LOADS OF PAPER TO KEEP IT UP. BUT AS WE KNOW BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE'S OF THE BEHOLDER! ;-D

  • SOLANGE IS B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L EITHER WAY, SHE KEEPIN IT REAL, GOOD ON HER HAD TA BE BRAVE TO MAKE THAT DECISION. WHAT A GREAT AMBASSADOR FOR ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE & WHAT GOD HAS BLESSED YALL WITH *A BIG THUMBS UP*

  • Nice I have a bc too and loving it.Will miss it when it grows out,so not high maintenance.

  • What people fail to realize is that alot of those white girls in Hollywood be wearing extensions too. ex: Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Ashley Tisdale, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez... I am not going to list anymore because the list goes on and on. They may not wear it all the time but they many have rocked it on occasion.

  • @bshainhunter Thank you. It annoys me that Black women get called out for wearing weaves when white women do almost as much. Dyeing your hair blonde, as many white women do has a similiar effect that relaxing hair has-dry thinning broken off hair, so they put in extentions for length and fullness. And when white women going to get called out for all that they do to look like Black- lip injections, tanning, and now butt implants. Solange looks beautiful natural.

  • no, it could be a better cut.

  • how much does she look like her sis in the last pic!!!

  • HOT!

  • She's so beautiful with short hair but she's still so beautiful with long hair !

    She's veeeeeeeeeeeery pretty :)

  • I could see her pretty face now.

  • i love how she embraces her culture through her styles.

  • She is a truely beautiful woman. It doesn't matter if she is long or natural, only now with the short hair we can all see her natural beauty and how blessed in the beauty department she is.

  • well i think Salonge looks cute either way. She has a long face but the short hair wks on her. She has a mom look right now. As for Beyonce, she wont go short for many reasons. 1- ppl would say she tryn to look like Riri. 2- she looks more and more like a white girl everytime i see her. Her skin seems lighter and she is really embracing the white girl in her

  • @Thisistheplcetobe beyonce is 5 years older than Solange. And i love her natural look she looks young and mature at the same time. Its good that shes embracing what God intended on her having!! She's being ree in her own way, a qualified naturalista!!!

  • finally a real black woman, embrace the natural you, that starts with the hair

  • short or long hair doesnt matter 'cause i would still stick my tongue in her....

  • solange is sooo pretty!

  • Im Just Sayinq She Shuld Have Kept Her Longer Hair..Make Her Look Younger The Shorter Makes Her Looks Younger..Who Is The Oldest Beyounce Or Solange??

  • Okay, thing is, if a Black female has natural hair, Society in large parts/aspects of friends/even family/work place can place "subtle" pressure for her to "conform2 to the way of the majority, Black female turns up to work one day rocking a new hair style (weave), now all of a sudden there are whispers that she is ashamed of her "Blackness", my point being, we as Black females are damned if we do, and damned if we don't.

We are the most OBSESSED over group of humans, the World over...hmm

  • Black Women you are Beautiful by Nature:) Please stop trying to look white... wigs, weaves, front lace wigs, perms, Chemicals. Please stop it. Its 2011. This is MENTAL BONDAGE. FREE YOURSELVES from these LIES!!!!!

  • @FutureStarFitness

I hear and overstand what you are saying, nontheless, it is NOT only Black females who wear weaves/extensions/etc, us as Black females are damned if we do and damned if we don't.

Not many Black females I meet are "TRYING" to look White, it is more the case of looking less Black, this is not I doubt a conscious thought, more so,due to years of mass indoctrination , usually first starting in family home when little Black girl of three has her hair relaxed.

  • @kindakooky1 OMG finally someone who knows what they are talking about. These women don't even know whats going on but I don't blame them. I blame people like Oprah and black female leaders that know but do nothing and say nothing. They don't even try to right the wrong or at least give information of why this is happening at least try to break the cycle that has been going on since slavery. Not just by saying it but leading by example like Solange Knowles.

  • @FutureStarFitness HOWEVER, there are still those Black women out there like myself who see and admire hair as fashion. I love my natural hair and have done the Big Chop several times and worn every natural style there is but I also love braids, weaves, hair pieces, long and short wigs, etc. and will continue to do me whenever I feel like it depending on my mood. Everyone is not trying to be white!

Solange will likely not be natural forever. Then What???

  • @rhoyal22 Sorry you can keep lying to yourself and saying that your wearing eurocentric wigs and weaves for different styles but I know its deeper then that and it is for a majority of black women. If that were true wouldn't other women were afrocentric weaves and wigs for the ability to change their hair style or fashion. Sorry that does not happen. Why is that

  • Comment removed

  • @FutureStarFitness You're most likely younger than I am and think you know everything. I once had the mindset you do but had to realize that a hairstyle doesn't make you who you are and definitely doesn't make you more or less black. I have seen lots of Black people who wore natural hair, including locs and didn't have knowledge of self and the other way around. You'll learn. My hair is natural right now because I'm loving it not because I care about being judged. But preach on sista!

  • @rhoyal22 Thats what is wrong with women they don't care what they do to get attention. They strip down to nothing, they wear shoes that kill their feet, they get inplants that kill them and they put on eurocentric wigs that hide their natural hair and help destroy their culture. The little black girls look up to u if u don't know it and learn from a young age to hide and dislike their hair. The older black women teach them everyday by spending billions on weaves, perms and wigs. Mental Bondage

  • @rhoyal22 I don't love my hair i dislikes it.I want thinner hair like white people. My hair is like 3 or 4 in. thick. And your wrong not for everybody it's deeper you said your loving your hai right?.It seems to me weave is getting more and more pop. cause more people likes how it looks. If you don't care about being judged(Who said you'll be judged?)don't cause some people might care.

  • @kindakooky1 HOWEVER, there are still those Black women out there like myself who see and admire hair as fashion. I love my natural hair and have done the Big Chop several times and worn every natural style there is but I also love braids, weaves, hair pieces, long and short wigs, etc. and will continue to do me whenever I feel like it depending on my mood. Please stop the madness! Not every black woman who embraces different hairstyles is trying to be White!!!!

  • @FutureStarFitness If someone is wearing a weave they will be trying to look Indian not white because that is where the hair comes from and also produced. Also i am a natural but people have the right to do what they want with their lives also their hair because you prefer a natural doesn't mean another should it is as simple as that.

This is 2011 that means freedom to choose. By the way i don't go up to white people and tell them they are wearing tans because they want to be a colored person.

  • @MsWagt Thats whats wrong with black people today everyone wants the freedom to do what ever they please even if its hurting the race as a whole. instead of creating a solid foundation for the youth to love and respect their natural selves. Black women are passing self hatred to their young daughters by putting perms, weaves and wigs on them and not even giving them a choice. Majority of young black females receives perms before they are ten years old and that keeps the trend of selfhate going.

  • @FutureStarFitness You are very wrong white people do put their kids through tanning have you seen toddlers and tiaras?, and no using relaxers does not mean you hate your self it means you prefer a different kind of texture for your hair because both are good. If you say white people are not trying to be colored then i say black people are not trying to be white either because both are changing their natural states. The only thing i agree with you is that mothers should give their kids a choice.

  • @MsWagt How can u compare tanning to perms(harsh chemicals) eurocentric weave, chemical bleaching etc.Tanning is a natural process and the only thing is they want it all year round. Lets just say this toddler and tiaras stuff is true does that compare to the 9 billion a year that black women spend to be as eurocentric as possible. I am not trying to go tit for tat because thats what kids do. Malcom X use
