the reaon why Hiro Mashima (fairy tail) has a similar style to Eiichiro Oda (one piece) is because he work with Oda on One Peice as his Inker. Don't you think he would have some of his style for his manga drawing from his job. In addition Hiro also created Rave Master which if you look in Fairy Tail you'll see some of his characters for there or similar designs Ie the ie dog, or the fact that Gray kinda looks like Musica.
