I saw him perform at the sierra nevada world music festival back in 1997. I must say it was one of the best shows I ever seen he put the whole audience in complete trance and I love every minute of it.

The only benefit of African music being undervalued is that you can see absolutely fantastic concerts for a great price in a small cafe-like setting. I'm European, and have seen many great artists: Salif Keita, Youssou N'Dour, Babaa Maal, Cheb Mami, Cheb Kaled, Angelique Kidjo, Habib Koite, Papa Wemba, Kanda Bongo Man, Olivier Mtukudzi, etc, etc.
