This won't work as shown. First of all the existing finish won't accept very much stain so going a lot darker is not going to happen. Also they don't mention you need to spray a clear sealer OVER the stain you do put on. A brushed on clear finish will show brush marks. There is MUCH more to do than this video shows. However with full knowledge of what to do you can make old cabinets look like new by refinishing.
