How is depakote working? Has he ever been evaluated for parxysomal diskinesia? My daughter's doctors are still trying to determine if she is having seizures or if it is a neurological movement disorder like PKD w/ PHD. We are STILL not on meds and that scares me.
Cody had clear EEG's for a very long time, including after this video was shot..however now, 2 years later he does have spiking. They have not given us a specific kind of seizure, they said that it looks much like a complex partial or simple seizure, just due to where the spiking is occuring on the EEG. Trileptal worked for a long time for us, however it stopped working, so we moved to Depakote....an "oldie but goodie" is what we were told.
My daughter has had the same seizure-like symptoms, but her EEG came back normal. What type of seizure is this? We are very frustrated with the doctors and very worried for her. What type of medication helped your son?
Is there something new. We have a boy with the same symptoms, but not a diagnose.
