I wonder how many thumbs downs and rages I'll get if I admit - reluctantly - that I didn't find Oblivion immersive enough...

The music/soundtrack always moved me. That, coupled with the beautiful graphics, left a lasting impression on me. These songs take me back to a more innocent time.

I was level 35, had Daedric Armour and weapons, thousands of gold, Umbra, 100% chameleon and most of my skills were master or expert and I had high attributes. Then my data got wiped out :(

I believe Fallout 3 and Oblivion are 2 of THE greatest games ever made. Ive been playing Oblivion for over a year and a half now, and it never ceases to amaze me. Its a good balance too- Fallout 3 in post-apocalyptic Washington D.C(a sad thing indeed) and Oblivion in the glorious Cyrodiilian sect of Tamriel( A fantastic adventure that never ends!) The music is absolutely fantastic as well.

Dude, that's exactly the thing with me. I just can't deal with the depressive ambiance. I like 50's music and everything, but it's just not like Oblivion. Fallout 3 makes me feel pessimistic, while Oblivion makes me want to make a time machine.

I agree. This music is not very depressing (only at certain places), it is beautiful and relaxing. Perfect music for a game like this. I only wish there were more magnificent views in this game, high mountains for example. This kind of music is perfect at those times when you just stand there.

the graphix only suck for you necause ether your cpu is Crap or your setting need to be changed, my cpu is realy good and the graphix are almost as good as oblivion, plus even if a game has bad graphix that doesnt meen its not a fun game, and i actualy prefer morrowind as the whole provence thing because not counting the shivering iles, morrowind has cooler arcitecure in the buildings

I havent played Oblivion, but what I can say about Morrowind, is that......

If you do decide to get Morrowind, get the Game of the Year edition, and you will find that some of the best armors in the game actually look great.

(I looked up the armor in oblivion on the unofficial elder scrolls website, they looked terrible, compared to morrowind armor)

Keep in mind, though, that the graphics are dated, in morrowind, but despite that, its still a great game.

If you have already played Oblivion, don't get Morrowind. If you havn't played either, try starting with Morrowind and see how you like it.

I played Oblivion for a long time and tried Morrowind and didn't like it. I wasn't used to the gameplay or crappy graphics lol

when i first played this game i didn't get a shit of it but how further you get into it the more you're gonna like it and if i had to choose between (like) GTA IV or TES4:Oblivion i would choose Oblivion cuz it's such a game that "grabs" you.

I don't think a lot of people realize how much a soundtrack can help make a game become great. I'm glad that the people at Bethesda realized this. I love this music. It really helped the game have a very unique feeling.

That's the greatest tip ever XDDDD but as funny as it seems it really helps because leveling up comes from experience from all the skills. To level up I used to shoot the " Open easy lock " on a door until i gained enough experience.

well what i did was just not sleep and go looking in tombs/caves/etc from nearly the start of the game. I was level 7 then i went without sleep, now i am level 12 with 100 agility. And i was like o.O

You can do many cheap things like sneak walk into a corrner for hours to get sneak 100 or jump on staris till your agility is insane or swimm for hours.

It just makes the game less fun though. PLay it like you would real life and you will never be disapointed wiht it.

i use balor's levelling mod, it's much more realistic and much more balanced :D

i doN't feel like cheating, and the game still chalanges me many times, but i can feel the GODLIKE effect sometimes, i can max out some things i like, and all i have to do is doing quests, exploring, and no stairjumping and such a thing :D

I owned 2 copies of Oblivion. One on Xbox soon after Oblivion's release, and the Game of the Year PC copy later. The game of they year track had that song. I guess they added it later.
