first off we're in 2008 (when this was allegedly filmed) so no oil rigs by saddam, he was already caught AND executed. 2nd, they're in the sky NOT touching the ground. and finally, the way most film night time in iraq(Ithe troops) is by using a standard camera, holding the lens up to the night vision goggles and recording that way. It beats buying a Sony w/ Nightvision but issues like focus blur can and does happen as cameras will try to auto focus, forcing him to adjust the focus.

NO UFO'S whatsoever...this phenomenon is caused by a big flame (probably burning oil wells or pipelines) underneath it, which is "reflected" in the damp sky. I have seen this over and over, since I live near a big factory which burns it's messed up product in a huge chimney.

No they were not stars, def not moonlight, and DIDNT touch the ground. in fact, it SEEMED as if the lights were descending from the sky when I first saw them (the light intesity was higher at the lower portion of the pillar) until I realized they were static and my eyes gave me the impression of movement when that was not the case.

Notice city lights in line with lights in sky? This happens in Fairbanks Alaska all the time. It is easily explained and not UNIDENTIFIED!
