Problem with Toshiba Regza digital TV (input menu)

I had have same problem with you. I solved it with open back of TV panel and remove wires connected to manual button control (on the right side TV at the bottom). Most of Toshiba TV problem with this cheap quality items. Try it but you have to disconnect power or you will die.

We took it to a local repair shop in the end. They had to wait until the fault occurred in their workshop before doing anything to it, but once it did, they managed to repair it pretty quickly. It was down to a faulty part, I think. Not sure how much it cost as my father-in-law paid for it, but he says it wasn't much.
