Hello Emily..I need some help! I'm 33 and have some complexion problems and my face gets red really easy so most lipsticks do not look good on me. I'm looking for ideas for lipsticks for Brunettes that would be easy for a busy mom of 3 with a constantly pinkish/red/blushing face..maybe nudes?

@HeathersStitches When does your face get red? If it happens during certain times, you may have allergies or some type of dermatitis. If you can, see a dermatologist to deal with your skin issues first. You can also use a primer with a green base or a green color corrector to take care of the redness. I would say try nudes, but you can also go with corals or even cool pinks or reds to emphasize your lips but not emphasize the reds. I know I'm not Emily, but I hope this helps.

@HeathersStitches Urban Decay "Rush" works great for me. I find that a nude lip makes my face even more pink. I look for colours similar to my natural lips. Hope you find something that works. Also I'm trying that new Estee Lauder serum that promises to solve all skin problems, well almost, hoping that will calm down my skin. Clinique has products series specifically for this, you may like to try.

@HeathersStitches hey I have the same kind of skin and yes i stick with nudes but pale nudes. if i go with a pink it'll have a blue undertone (if that makes sense) and i try to stay away from deep colors like browns (even neutral browns) because they bring out the red in my skin. I know I'm not Emily but i hope this helps :)

@SmokeyRoseWolf try a wrap or scarf type thing. also, department stores have boleros of alllll kinds, im sure you could find a nice thin one that will not be as heavy as a cardigan. my moms a tailor and she's made a few boleros because certain colors are so hard to find. good luck! :)

@SmokeyRoseWolf You could try a pashmina in a color that complements your dress or just in a plain black or cream color, depending on the color of your dress. There are also some really pretty shrugs in lace or crochet that would cover your shoulders/arms but still show off the dress. Good luck! :)

The Rimmel primer-is it kind of silicone-y thick like Smashbox? I am not familiar with 'Spackle'. I heard you say it isn't AS smoothing as Smashbox but does it have that texture? I ask because I loathe Photofinish by Smashbox. It breaks me out.

i have a question... i know its silly.. but how do u sharpen the jumbo pencils? what are the best sharperers out there.. one time i have the milabi luquifeye eyeliner and i tried sharpening it the tip always comes off because the tip is too soft (kinda like gel) so can u help me find a good sharperner for these products.. thanks! love ur vids!! <3

Oh, if the eyeliner is too soft. I heard you can pop them in the freezer for several minutes and that will help sharpen them. : ) Hope that helps.

@kewlpnay Hi there, I'm not Emily, but I do have a tip for you -- try putting your pencil in the refrigerator first for about 10 to 15 minutes, and then when you sharpen it, it won't break off since it is harder. If it is still too soft, place it in the freezer for 10 minutes and then sharpen it. It should be much easier to sharpen, and won't break off. I've done this several times for soft eyeliners, and it works great.  :)

I really love that Rimmel blush also! I was really impressed by the pigmentation of it. It's strange how it's called Autumn with its bright baby pinks, cause there's one called Spring flower that has more brownish pinks.
