I'm agree with Iggy's point that Harper's government is corrupt, but he should stop making a fool of himself by trying too hard to be inspirational or impassioned or whatever. He should stick to his guns and simply be as straightforward as he can, otherwise he just seems desperate.

Now Iffy is trotting out Jean 'Adscam' Chretien as his 'big gun' (presumably registered). Presumably, while Iggy was trying to convince Massachussets brahmans that he was a decendant of the Romanovs, he missed all of the chicanery the Shawinigan Strangler was up to. Nor does he realise that that quoting Chairman Mao makes him sound like a flake. Rae, Dosanjh and Layton are waiting for Ignatieff to crash and burn, so they can merge the Liberals and NDP.

@dingharlio Sorry you feel that way. I have no affiliation for any political party...just saw the obvious rip on a song that all the Canadian political parties have tried to use for their campaigns. It's something the lawyers probably okayed because the Liberal Party did it without actually using the recording...

@videoplusdvd @videoplusdvd It was a very inspirational speech and one of a true leader. This is what Canada needs. The G&M are reporting this as a quote from a Springstein song actually. I don't work for the Liberals either but Canada does need to rise up against voter apathy. Last election saw the lowest voter turnout in Canadian history and that has to change.

@dingharlio Springsteen's "The Rising" is about a New York City firefighter climbing inside of the World Trade Centre Towers in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, and never uses the words "rise up", so he and his handlers can spin it however they like. He repeated "rise up" eight times in less than 30 seconds, so I can draw a more logical conclusion...

I also address "voter apathy" at the end...did you not get that far?

@videoplusdvd Are you implying that I judged without seeing the whole video? I saw the end. I merely pointed out that the speech which this clip was taken from was about voter apathy. About how if we don't get out and vote we get the government we deserved. The Springstein song being referenced wasnt the rising but another one that said to rise up.
