That's awesome! I used to live in Beech Island. I forgot about that until I watched this video. Thanks for restoring part of my memory RSA. = ) But then again it's only a hop skip and a jump away from where I was born. Definitely love that accent as well. Seems to be popular. = ) Love the video, even aside from the aforementioned reasons.
beautiful house. all the trees around it look very nice. a porch swing would be good but i think thats more of a 20th century thing which would defeat the purpose of restoration.
Great vid RedShirt, I have never been to the house myself. I will forward the pics from the cemetery when I find them on my puter. Can't remember where I saved them.
Glad you enjoyed it man. How's the fishing down there lately? I'm going this afternoon in a pond up here in the upcountry of SC. Going to try and get some bass or catfish or maybe some bream - we'll see. Soon as we get finished with this job.
Well I'm glad to hear that fishin' is in y'alls future, it's good for the soul. Fishin' here has picked up pretty well, it's coolin' down a bit so some of the better pan fish are comin' back into the shallows. Matter of fact, I'm fixin' to go out on the ocean today here in about another hour. Gotta watch the UF game till the Gators are up by at least 21 points...which should happen here before too long hahaha. Yup, they just scored again so I'm almost out the door. Have a great day fishin' man!
My dad did restoration on plantations around plantersville SC (outside of Georgetown) 1 being Chicorawood plantation spent alot of my childhood there.
At :32 that is the exact view that I had in my head when I was reading Roots! I wonder if people ever see ghosts at a place like this

Silly person, it's summer in the South. We're not stupid enough to waste water on grass. Water is for the crops.

Great Video, one day people in Dixie will be able to afford homes like these once again.

I hope so. Here most of the good old historic houses are lawyers offices. Definitely not something I like.
