It's sad that Darbys drug addiction, and nihilistic antics turn a lot of people off to the Germs, Darby was a brilliant poet, and the Germs have yet to be surpassed artistically in the punk scene in my opinion.
artistically? Dead Kennedys and Bad Religion AT LEAST tie with The Germs. Satire doesn't get better than Jello Biafra and Bad Religion's social commentary is intense!
They're just my favorite punk band, and yes artistically they were pretty amazing in my opinion and I'm sure many others feel the same way. Yes indeed, Jello and the DK's definitely have a charm all their own -- Bad Religion, honestly never been a fan, most of their music is way to repetitive.
