The car has a 6 cilynder Boxer engine. Called EZ36. Also in Short a H6 or Flat 6.

I never got to ride in one but I got to sit in one and the dealership leaves the keys in the car so you can start it and mess around with it... Once I put the key it, the gauges looked digital. Even though they were still shaped like regular gauges and all, it was awesome as hell. Priced WAY out of our price range though...  -.-

This car is over priced unless you really want room for 7 people in it all times. I test drive this and and compared it to a ford edge. Ford edge won hands down! go drive one and see for yourself.! I bought a ford edge!

How is this overpriced? SUVs in this class are all in the same price range unless you are saying Subaru sucks. But the fact is, Subaru's all wheel drive system is superior to every other SUV out there with the exception of perhaps Audi or Porsche. So how is this overpriced? Because you cannot afford it? As far as idiot not! I own 3 cars one of 07 Edge, Xterra, a 2005 C5 Corvette! So I can afford a tribeca but for me I rather have an Edge it's just a more comfortable ride and if it needs repair I can go anywhere; where as if the tribeca breaks good luck finding a good subaru mechanic is not easy!

I know I'm late by 10 months here, but after driving both, the Edge is nowhere near the SUV that the Subaru is. Subaru put its rally experience into all of their cars. The Ford Edge does not benefit from Ford's (English) rally experience. I live in Colorado, where the roads are unforgiving. You don't see a lot of Fords. Their AWD system is crap. You see Subaru's vehicles all over the place. You should have spent the extra money (if you could have) and got the better SUV. You're a moron.

I was close to buying the Tribeca...it rode sweet, took corners well, and surprisingly had some nice acceleration... but I ended up gettting an STI!

Very very smooth and quiet ride, 10+ for breaks, the best All Wheel Drive on the world, the best relation price-quality in the class, roomy interior equipped with lot of gadgets in the standard options, boxer engine with lot power ,nice steering and perfect cornering, etc...

Excellent choice if you looking for family "luxury" CUV/SUV.
