A bit old, but I'll explain it anyway since no one wanted to. For weeks, the WWE(WWF then) ran a countdown clock that signaled the arrival of the new millennium. It ran for a while until it finally ran down, where Chris Jericho made his debut in 1999 to interrupt a Rock promo. The debut is on YouTube. Just type in "Jericho Debut" and you'll find it.
