  • great performance i lov this tune

  • I will always remember this as the song playing at the disco when Luke raped Laura. At 4:02 I want to start rapping though.

  • I heard from my adolescence by the age of eighty, and was impressed with this style of music is fantastic. Greetings from Venezuela the New South America.

  • @Frank200987 Thank you. I'm not even half of your life. I want to learn to listen to music a lot more now. Whether, please valete spending. Sorry in poor English.

  • LORBER, Fix that!!! How DISRESPECTFUL!!!!!!

  • sounds like his lungs got a little weak...still lurve it tho

  • Now everyone knows where the background music for Biggie Smalls big song came from.

  • Herb Alpert set some great standards in the sixties, and thus he is a part of the biggest era of cultural/musical changes, innovations and whathaveyou,,,, in modern time.

  • Apparently the audience did not know WHO Herb Alpert is, they were so lame! I mean hey it's an institution right there performing for them live at a stage! Thank you for their chocolate and watches, but boring people indeed.

  • Herb Alpert i like very much his jazz. it is all by design, form follows function. it is like minimalist art without any pretense. it is what he alone hears in his mind and he communicates it very well

  • What a lame duck audience!

  • @geekstreat Of course. What else would you expect from the Swiss. And on the french side of Switzerland the only thing that be more boring than the inhabitants would be watching paint dry. If you want to spend some time numbing your brain. Wondering how life could be so boring, dull and seriously want to contemplate suicide by driving a Volvo into a tree, visit Switzerland.

  • aaaahhhhh, como me gusta esa cancion.......

  • Notorious B.I.G stole this bass line for hypnotized. that guy knew good music.

  • well, Herb did chip a note early on.......... perhaps the audience was full of trumpet players...............

  • Is that Neil Stubenhaus on Bass?

  • That was totally awesome! I never get tired of hearing Herb's music. Herb is and always will be THE MAN!!!! A TRUE LEDGEND!!!!!!!

  • These have gotto be the most boring people on the face of the planet!!!!

  • I would do anything to see this men playing in Portugal....He Is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!

  • Herb and Jeff jam very well together.I like it!

  • i wondered if it was just me that thought the audience to be initially unappreciative to say the least. fuk them. rock that shit Herb, we love you still. adeus.

  • mmm do# sounded wrong,,,, it was bad

  • i guess lots of audience here doesnt know the real meaning of MUSIC. herb alpert's music is so great, i dont get tired of listening to his music, in fact i feel more relaxed specially while drinking and listening to this. stress relieving!

  • @19wrald76 ..best comment I ever heard!!! about maestro Herb Alpert! graias amigo!..saludos desde mexico!

  • This was one incredibly rude audience. Herb Alpert is SO WELL KNOWN.. How could anyone treat him like this..

  • HOW was the audience rude ??

  • lack of clapping

  • heaps of clapping at the end of the song !

to clap WHILE he is playing - would be rude

  • Herb is an amazing trumpet player but white boy cannot dance hahaa

  • Herb Alpert is a great musician and trumpet player He has a ton of technique and knows his way around the horn. Great businessman as well and is responsible for launching the career of many artists such as Gino Vannelli

  • What an awesome video. Good to know there's great music like this still out there. Nice jammin'.

  • Glad this NUTTY audience finally woke up at the end of this tune from such a RUDE welcoming!

  • An exciting guest of ending is good.

  • @hardlines4 Agree. The announcer didn't sound very normal either...

  • lousy audience

  • love the insistent bass funk

  • I LOVE this song. Some of the most beautiful chords in the world come in at 2:48. If you know and love the song you appreciate small embellishments like the guitar at 3:24

I think some of the other musicians, such as the keyboard and guitar, are unnecessarily turned down too much here. I would have liked to hear more guitar and a little more keyboard.

  • Excellent call re: the mix. This is a really great version and the interplay at the 5+ minute mark is sublime. Finally Lorber gets to cut loose just before Herb brings it into the homestretch. Ear candy for a baby like me.

    Just wonderful!

  • This is really some cool, kind of funky slick stuff, just the way i like it! Jeff Lorber gotta be one the best keyboardists there is, he make some really cool chords, he knows ho to lay it down perfectly! Herp Albert is pretty cool he as well!

  • He is my HERO!! OMG... Greatest solo musician on earth. Ever. Bottom Line. HERB ALPERT!

  • There you go again, radar. Do you know any other good ones?

  • John Pena laying the bass groove down !

  • I love this man!Lorber&Alpert old-school funk,they don't know nottin-bout-dat.that's what-sup man.two thumbs!

  • How about the snooty audience applause!

They don't realize they are seeing a legend!!

  • My thoughts too---that initial applause was luke warm at best. I guess maybe Alpert is considered too commercial. But, I think he's great.

  • Herb Alpert = Musical Renaissance Man = National Treasure!

  • a never die classic..great stuff!

  • I'm glad to be pleased...thanx

  • Thank You For Posting This! Herb Alpert is still Amazing!!!

  • wow, thanks very much! great musician, great song ans best festival on earth.
