I am glad to say that in India situation is slowly improving overall and very significantly. Even my family includes members from all so called 'castes', 'brahimns', 'dalits', 'backward castes', forward castes'. We are engineers and doctors living all over the world. We are very happily living together. Waiting for the day this 'caste system' becomes history.

Your views do not come from logic but from a biased desire to push for the actualization of your sociopolitical agenda. It is difficult to transcend one's own worldview bias, nevertheless, it is essential to the advancement of Nepal's people.
@diliprai Remember, changing the religious or ethnic demographics/power structure will never benefit the country of Nepal. It should be about the betterment of the country. Having a national religion or coercing individuals of a certain ethnic groups one way or another will only enrage them and further barricade the road to a progressive society. Hinduism never "invented" the caste system (loll). The caste system (today known as class system) has always existed in large soceities and was a natural part of society and religion in ancient times. It still exists today in many subtle forms. I agree it is a social evil and must be rid. Hinduism, The Vedas, Upanishads and BG do not teach to hate anyone. It teaches that ones social class is based on merit and abilities.

The caste system in Nepal as known today came by some Hindu kings in 330 AD (by this time caste was highly corrupted from Vedic times). It is a known fact and has been proven that the Hindu king who incorporated Hindu caste structure into the legal system was due to Hindu legal texts such as Parskar Grihyasutra, Gautam Sutra, Manusmṛti and Shukra Niti.
NONE of these texts are VEDIC and came at a much later date from traditional Hinduism.

Even many scholars support this. Sudarshan Raj Tiwari in his "Temples of the Nepal Valley" , 2009 explained that "the Pasupatinath temple have its origin away back to the early Kirat period. The Pashupatinath temple was later renovated and modified during the Licchavi period. I tend to agree; India is making positive progress in this regard. I've been to India about five or six times. What I have noticed that some once considered untouchables a generation ago are now considered like family members today.

I thought the caste system would be pointless here as I assumed the Aryan peoples did not go to that land, looking at these Dalits though they are dark as fu*k - you can tell they are the lowest of the low straight away.. As you might have seen in the video, the 'dalits' can't marry with any other casts, and if the other casts are known to marry the 'dalits', then they are socially not accepted and even the family themselves can't accept that child that married a dalit. Nice video raising a core issue. I am from India, and really like nepal. Caste system is a cancer of our society. I am glad to say that in India situation is slowly improving overall and very significantly. Even my family includes members from all so called 'castes', 'brahimns', 'dalits', 'backward castes', forward castes'. We are engineers and doctors living all over the world. We are very happily living together. Waiting for the day this 'caste system' becomes history.

@diliprai Remember, changing the religious or ethnic demographics/power structure will never benefit the country of Nepal. It should be about the betterment of the country. Having a national religion or coercing individuals of a certain ethnic groups one way or another will only enrage them and further barricade the road to a progressive society. Instead of identifying as Buddhist or Kiratist one should identify as Nepalese.

1. tantrism, shaktism which belongs to kirati religion

2. vedic religion which belongs to aryan
brahma, vishnu, agni, varuna, indra are the main god of aryan.

Hinduism= kirati religion + vedic religion

Learn to read some scriptures. Aryan is not a race, it is a term that means noble.Lord Krishna, Lord Rama and Lord Shiva are all Hindu Vedic Gods.
Lord Krishna and Lord Rama called themselves Aryans (they have black skin too).
Lord Shiva does not come from Kirats. Lord Shiva is timeless, and he was mentioned in the Vedas and is in every Hindu text.

Hinduism never "invented" the caste system (loll). The caste system (today known as class system) has always existed in large soceities and was a natural part of society and religion in ancient times. It still exists today in many subtle forms. I agree it is a social evil and must be rid. Hinduism, The Vedas, Upanishads and BG do not teach to hate anyone. It teaches that ones social class is based on merit and abilities.
Dowry system is part of Indian culture, exists in Nepal and China too

The caste system in Nepal as known today came by some Hindu kings in 330 AD (by this time caste was highly corrupted from Vedic times). It is a known fact and has been proven that the Hindu king who incorporated Hindu caste structure into the legal system was due to Hindu legal texts such as Parskar Grihyasutra, Gautam Sutra, Manusmṛti and Shukra Niti.
NONE of these texts are VEDIC and came at a much later date from traditional Hinduism.

The term 'Dalit' or 'polluted people' is a disgrace to Nepalese community. Our new generation should not support this system at all. Nepalese history is not as pretty as we read in school books. Prithvi Narayan Shah's description of Nepal 'Char jaat chatis barna' excludes the Native Mongoliod ppl of Nepal and let me remind u 'barna' is inadequate to describe mongoloids. By declaring Nepal "Char jaat chatis barna", P.N Shah main intention was to conquer others land and rule after them. to do this he made his people as rulers and brahmin as advisors. he used hindu laws and hindu customs made it a law. nepal history book is full of bullshit all written by brahmin writers. you never heard of kirat history but only glorifies all the hindu dynasties. P.N Shah was a refugee and a real terrorist in his time.

Now Kirat have always been animistic in religion. In fact the religion of Shivaism was started by Kiratas. The very living fact that Shivaism was started by Kiratas can be proven by the fact that Shree Pashupati Nath temple(Lord Shiva's temple and holiest temple in Nepal) has its beginning with Kirat dynasty. Before Hindu invaders Licchavis arrived in Nepal, Kiratas were already living around the Shree Pashupati Nath temple.

Even many scholars support this. Sudarshan Raj Tiwari in his "Temples of the Nepal Valley" , 2009 explained that "the Pasupatinath temple have its origin away back to the early Kirat period. The Pashupatinath temple was later renovated and modified during the Licchavi period. Pashupatinath temple is surrounded by a many other temples like the Kirateswore Mahadev, Bhairav, Guheswori also link to Kirat period". So i am not understanding why Indian should be a head priest in the temple?

I remember our family didnt allow lower caste to go inside the kitchen. Offcourse there was no education then. But now people are getting educated. Now our family dont discriminate anyone at all. I dont see soo much of discrimination as compared to before. Its decreasing gradually and i believe it will end one day. The only cure is "EDUCATION"

@diliprai the cast system has nothing to do with the how one thinks, its all about dividing work, like the chettris are to work for army, showing their bravery, damai are to sew the clothes of which they should not be dominated, there is a lot fashion world which evolve from tailoring. this system was introduced to divide people to different work groups, didn't meant to dominate one for their work. but its the peoples, who took in wrong way. so the caste system should not be blamed for this.

As you might have seen in the video, the 'dalits' can't marry with any other casts, and if the other casts are known to marry the 'dalits', then they are socially not accepted and even the family themselves can't accept that child that married a dalit. This is one of the worst things that happens in Nepal.. and there are many other uncountable unjustices done to the so-called dalits...
