For people who cant save it, make sure you right click and run as admin. i had the same problem, but i redid it and ran it as admin and it worked fine.

@BrownEyedGirl1979 make sure your running resource hacker as administrator, and also make sure you have the latest version of resource hacker also

@cronousplayer Unfortunaltey, no. Microsoft has encrypted the .dll files so you can't do it any more :'(

Okay it works with the most updated Zune software but i used (FRAMEBACKGROUND00.PNG) and the name of it is (Phyta). Hope it works for you all. :D

Well if you downgrade, then you can't use Zune HD's. Some people say it works but you should try it for yourself.

seems like they encrypted the .dll so it can't be done anymore

i heard it worked in the 64-bit version, but not the 32-bit, which i have and tried, but didn't work

I used the newest version of resource hacker (Beta) and just dragged the zuneshellresources.dll over to resource hacker. Then did exactly what you did.

why would you want to delete your songs anyways?

the music will stay in the zune, in the settings just uncheck automatic sync, or something like that

you would want to delete music from your computer if you have little space left on your hard drive and maybe a 120gig zune to store your library on. this way you can keep getting music on your zune without maxing out your computer memory. to keep the music on your zune, go to settings, devices, sync options, and check the box for music i choose. unfortunately you have to choose all the music you want to add to your zune manually.

ohhh, but are you seriously going to have that much music that it will take up that much space? i mean, i understand that cuz i used to have a old dell that only had 30GB and then out with the old and in with the new, bam 500GB. i guess unoder must have a couple of movies along with programs, i understand know :D, you could however invest some money to a external hard drive :P

What you have to do is.

1.Go to settings then device settings and click on forget my device.

2.Go to your music and then delet it from the software.

3.Now delet it from the folder where you have it.

4.Reconnect your Zune the computer and and the software.

Make sure you delet it from the software first. and do the forget this device.
