Personally, I think that if it's written that way in the booklet, then more power to anyone who wants to eschew the extra unstressed "al" syllable. Most of our modern English language was apparently invented by a bi-sexual poet/playwright anyways, so I think it's pretty much fair game (within reason) to do as we please with it. Or at least theoretically speaking, anyways.
