Basically the lady calling her was from the past, and blah blah blah happens and she tells Mary that if she doesn't keep answering the phone, that she will kill her in the past (when she was a child) causing her to change in the present. it is very complex and it is like she can do nothing to stop it.

So she called in the past saying "oh someone is there to see you" or whatever she said, knowing that she in thirty years, she is going to go to the apartment to kill Mary. 2. She was a loner and crazy. Of course she was crazy enough that she killed for it. Why do serial killers kill today? because they are sick minded. 3. Don't know why, the producers messed up on that. I also thought she wouldve lost memory of them but w/e.

@isabellabitchtits hey thanks for it but i did get it when i went back to the scene after my comment and realised when rose said that she will hunt down everyone that mary loves in the past(rose's present) in 1979 and hurt them and then what she did and thats what happened to john and george,coz rose was some lonely sad spirit that wanted to share something but as the previous tenants were leaving and then she got mary easy target lonely and unstable..but thanks for explaination bella :)

Instead, she was wasting her time learning French. Please don't misunderstand me, French is a beautiful language and learning a foreign language would have been a benefit if she needed it for her job/career. But she wasn't working. Personally, I am all for learning foreign languages.
