I had an absolute hissy fit when she came to Wembley & I couldn't go see her,lol She has been in my life since I was 13,(37 years now),& it was always my dream to see her perform live.So I was elbowing people out of the way in the music store the day this dvd was released,lol.A truly magnificant concert,even from my arm-chair & one which I watch regularly.Especially the number she sings to her son,Jason who was in the audience! That brought a lump to my throat! God bless you,Babs!

It is fitting perhaps that her artistic path, which took her from stage to studio, should return her now to the stage, the birthplace of her art, and the premier showcase of her talent.

I was in Madison Square Garden on June 19, 1994 and my binoculars were trained on her for the entire concert (resulting in very sore elbows the next day) and please note...she DEFINITELY sang the last note.
I don´t want to doubt anything what was written here abou the last note... just one notice - she had sung LIVE the second voice of the "herselef duet", it means the lower part. Anyway - she´is one of the greatest singers I´ve ever heared :-)
From this clip and from her 1994 Madison Square Garden CD album and having been at that performance live in person, very definitively she sang the last note. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that she indeed sing the last note.
I considered that...but as a singer myself it's not impossible to hold a note for that long (18-19 seconds). I can do it and I smoke. However, when you do the studio recording you can isolate a tough song in one session. You can also cut-and-paste and go in and just take a deep breath and sing the one note. In concert, though, Back-to-back singing belter songs usually requires some cheating, in other words.
Streisand is simply amazing! I listen to her great music for hours on end. Mostly her 80's albums I know i know no life but who cares? Streisand is simply breath taking! :)
I had stage-side seats for this concert at Madison Square Gardens, an unforgettable night. This still give me goose bumps.

when she's in THIS kinda form there's no one that even comes CLOSE to doing what she does!!She's one extremely unique artist and HAS been for DECADES now!!What a true legend...and when there seems to be a dearth of them around to 'fill her shoes'...i mean J-Lo...Jessica Simpson!!??Jesus WEPT...it makes me appreciate her all the MORE,seeing how few artists that there are who could even BEGIN to be called 'legend'...AND Babs is still alive too!!Wow...A+

I was in Madison Square Garden on June 19, 1994 and my binoculars were trained on her for the entire concert (resulting in very sore elbows the next day) and please note...she DEFINITELY sang the last note.

I don´t want to doubt anything what was written here abou the last note... just one notice - she had sung LIVE the second voice of the "herselef duet", it means the lower part. Anyway - she´is one of the greatest singers I´ve ever heared :-)

Yeah, that's something I noticed too. The super long note that you're hearing is the pre-recorded track.

From this clip and from her 1994 Madison Square Garden CD album and having been at that performance live in person, very definitively she sang the last note. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that she indeed sing the last note.

ok.. don't get me wrong... I think Streisand is a fantastic singer... one of the best i've ever heard..
but I have a bad feeling that the last note in Yentl was digitalized..
And I only say this because there doesn't seem to be any proof that she can sing this live..
If you're going to take this as insulting or something, do so... just consider what I had to say

I considered that...but as a singer myself it's not impossible to hold a note for that long (18-19 seconds). I can do it and I smoke. However, when you do the studio recording you can isolate a tough song in one session. You can also cut-and-paste and go in and just take a deep breath and sing the one note. In concert, though, Back-to-back singing belter songs usually requires some cheating, in other words.

Streisand is simply amazing! I listen to her great music for hours on end. Mostly her 80's albums I know i know no life but who cares? Streisand is simply breath taking! :)
