i dont get the part where u are meshing, what tool are u using besides move tool, also when filling the caps with faces i dont get squares like u, could u telle me whats wrong. Thanks
@intsfanatic Use the line tool, the tool that looks like a pencil. That allows you to create polygons, some just happen to work as squares but most of the time you have to use triangles if the mesh isn't quite aligned. If you just look at the mesh it should be quite easy to understand, there's nothing special about it, just create a surface with triangles using the line tool.
Thnx dude... i watched 10000000000 videos of how to make models out of blueprints and all the methods were crap.. most of them couldn't make some crucial curbes and others required that you build all the details with your experienced eye.. but this method actually is accurate and it's very hard to make mistakes THNX AGAIN!!!!!!!
It depends on the image format. SU6 accepts: .jpg, .png, .tif, .tga, .bmp.
SU7 accepts: .jpg, .png, .psd, .tif, .tga, .bmp.
If dragging and dropping the images into the SU window doesnt let them in (I had this problem when my firewall decided SU6 might be a threat) Go to; File> Import and then select the import format. You can also change import options to the right of the drop down menu.
Well, you can find ones you want on the internet or draw up your own. Oten it is easyer to find the ones you want if you havn't the skill to draw them.
3:44 . why you didnt use sandbox tool ?. but nice technics !! check my 3d BMW E60 Tutorial ! mabye it helps to !

@Deroppo Its essentially the exact same program, no differences in the modelling process or the basic UI. The same things can be done.

It's not really that out of date, it's just the method can be improved on with practice and experience.

It refuses to let me insert blueprints. Do you have to save them as sketchup models?

Im guessing your talking about the smooth tool. Use your cursor to click and drag to select the mesh and then right click and smooth.
