Oh and dont forget about king mohammed the fifth, when the french asked him to round up jews and deport them to european labour camps during WOII. He told them his country did not house 'Jews', it housed 'moroccans'. And he warned them not to lay 1 finger on any of his moroccans. I btw, am not jewish myself. The name FelixMordechai is an acountname i just came up with off the top of my head while making an account to respond to this video (seen as i did not have one prior). I am a dutch citizen of moroccan origin, and am myself the child of moroccan IMMIGRANTS and not REFUGEES. And in my opinion the mass immigration of morrocan jews to israel does not make them political refugees, but plain immigrants just like my parents.

And its not like we all dont know about the inferior role of arab or mizrahi jews within Israel compared to their Ashkhenazi counterparts, Racism is alive and well within ANY society, even within the Israeli society. Their situation has improved significantly today, but it was not all that good upon their arrival, they were always looked down upon by the ashkenazi. And both king Hassan The 2nd and Mohammed the 6th have extended open invitation to ALL moroccan jews to return.

Truth of the matter is that most of the moroccan jews that migrated, did so often out of economic motives, as did many muslim moroccans during the same period. You should see the size of the moroccan communities in France, Belgium, Holland etc. they're huge. Morocco was (and still is) a poorer lesser developed nation. Given the oppurtunity to migrate to a wealthier country was and still is an attractive offer to ALL moroccans that arn't rich, wethere they're jewisch or muslim.

Morocco is a patchwork quilt, that houses a multitude of ethnicities, my parents are of mixed arab berber stock and remember the jews of their town very vividly. They had close ties to their jewish counterparts, and even helped to pay for stuff during sabath, seeing as the jews were not allowed to make any transactions during sabath. They both visited the same holy tombs when ill, and used to celebrate eid maimouna together. What about this side of 'arab' jewry?

And what about Morocco? Morocco sure as hell did not force its jews to leave, It even prohibited jews fromleaving morocco, cause the governement foresaw the dissapearance of a complete community due to zionist propaganda. Moroccan jews have always held high positions in moroccan arts, politics, literature, music etc. (Azoulay, samy el maghriby etc). Sure times weren't always as good acording to some historians, but the thing ALL historians would agrea they had it better than in Europe.

Ok, seriously.. (Ethnic) minorities have always endured hardships at some point, no matter who the (ethnic) majority in a country is. It happened to the blacks in the US, its happening to gypsies throughout the world, its happening to homosexuals and so forth. To make this seem solely like an Arabs vs. Jews issue is plain ignorant, ADOLF HITLER per example was not an arab, and the holocoust started out in EUROPE! Jews have been mistreated by Europeans throughout history.

I do not believe for a second that TDP put out this film with the intention of fighting injustice. If that were so, they would focus more on US-Israeli crimes against the Arabs, which are crimes that they - as Americans - can do more about.

Actually, the Arabs/Muslims in Israel are treated superior in many ways. For example, outside of Mecca there is only one other place where orthodox Jews are forbidden from gathering for prayer on a de jure, state level. Thats the Noble Sanctuary, or as the Jews call it the Temple Mount. And yes, Palestinians are being unjustly evicted based on their race. But in 2005 nearly10,000 Jews in Gaza alone were evicted by Israel as well.

You can't say that Arabs are inferior to Jews in Israel when the Arab rights are protected in Israeli law, and there are Arab parliament members in the Israeli Parliament. They are subject to the same laws as Jews, excepting one - Palestinian Arabs don't serve in the army due to conflict of *political* interests. As proof, many Druze, who are Arab,*do* serve in the Israeli army.

If some Jews became rich, it was IN SPITE, and not because, of Muslim policies. Exception, not the rule.

@mayushi Must correct you, Druze are not Arabs, as they are decendent from Yethro, and the Beduim are just that, Beduim and not Arabs. Arabs proper come from the Arabian pennisula.

Accepted- I forgot about the Druze being descended from Jethro. HOWEVER, the Bedouin are ethnically Arab. And none of this negates my point about Arabs in Parliament, management and universities in Israel, OR my point about Muslim rulers' attitudes toward Jews in the past.
