I love my Auto Ordnance 1911 A1,my only complaint would have to be that the magazine would not eject on it's own.I ended up having to buy a Chip McCormick PowerMag,and yes it was a brand new pistol when I bought it back in 06.
This is my very first brand new 1911 to function flawlessly for 500rds right out of the box. I have had three top shelf new 1911's in the past that didn't. This is a plain jane 1911 and its awesome.
is the chamber on that pistol silver from firing wear or did it come with that section of the barrel stainless? If it did, do you know if they make them with 100% blued barrels?

Kahr/thompson/auto - ordnance can do it and my hats off to these people right here in the usa. They should be proud.

Shoots well, sights are a little hard to see in less then well lit areas but accurate ( I got tight groups that were consistently off to the right but this was my fault as no one else did that)
out of 200 rounds 4 jams, 3 of them I blame on the cheapo mags I was using the other was a stovepipe, but hey it happens

Not one single jam or stovepipe for well over 500rds now. I wanted a cheap 1911, shooter/beater truck gun and the new AO is way better than that.
