Angela Bofill has not passed away. She did suffer strokes but has recovered from them. In fact she goes on tour and although she does not sing anymore, she speaks to the audience about her life and music and has another singer do her songs as she talks.

Saw Angela Bofill in concert in Columbia S.C. in the 90's...she was outstanding! It was an outdoor concert and she sounded fabulous...just like her recordings. The old school-heads sat out on blankets and folding chairs and rocked the night away with Ms. Bofill's awesome performance. Thanks for this great post. Stay healthy Angie! We love ya!

I was watching the Denise Williams and Johnny Mathis- #1 Top 40 Hit Too Much Too Little Too Late on You Tube and This was one of the Suggested Vids. So I looked up Angela Bofill on Google 'and Found out that she was Half-Cuban (Father) and Half Puerto Rican (Mother)-NYC Had two Strokes in SF Bay Area My heart and Prayers go out to her and The Musicians whom helped pay her medical bills. I bought her greatest Hits Albums in 1986 while in College at JSU and It's just like I never left That Voice !

I've had the pleasure of seeing Angela several times. Check that, make that the PRIVILEGE of experiencing her gift. Like all great artist, Angela was better in person. Simply because when she let loose, her voice is chilling in its resonance and purity.

The final notes of this song absolutely haunt you in person. I still feel the chills.

Sadly Angela fell into the wrong crowd. I wish her well in her recovery. She is missed.
