Columbus is probably the most depressing in Ohio. Yea it might be doing well cause of BUYING out land near it but Cincy and Cleveland have a lot more to offer in terms of amenities + their metro areas are a lot more diverse, bigger and the job market in their respective metros are actually better.

Columbus is boring outside of its zoo and hockey - oh and I guess OSU.

Columbus isn't depressing. The downtown is more layed back and relaxed. You can enjoy it without all the noise and garbage.

I've lived in 16 different places from NY to the rural mtns of va...to st.louis and fla... COlumbus is an AWESOME PLACE! I agree with poutine... the look here and location...south side of dwtn...  looks like somewhere near the old courthouse... Greatlakes....the Crew....Blue JAckets.. OSU... everything north of downtown... try to make it back at least once a year...

columbus is a lot of things, but depressing? have you been to cleveland? detroit? buffalo? st. louis? i guess it is depressing that it is the only economy in ohio that continues to generate jobs.

Everything looks depressing when it's filmed in sepia and backed by a funeral dirge! Columbus can be a lot of fun -- I make it there about once a year, really enjoy it.
