Your heart is in the right place. Glenn is a great patriot and a wonderful family man. But if the Mormon church is teaching him to be such a wonderful person why would you want to change that? Mormons believe that Jesus is the Christ and our Lord and Saviour. I can tell you Glenn is already saved as defined by Christianity. He has repented of his sins, accepted Christ as his saviour and entered into the waters of baptism. All Mormons do this. Through the grace of Jesus we are all saved.

you need 2 define what the LDS church teach about salvation. I was a mormon . Are you talking about exaltion or about salvation in a way that everyone will be reserected through the death and resuercution of Jesus. Forgivness in the LDS doctrine is only possibel when you fully repent of your sin, every sin. That means : to recognize your sin. to confess your sin ( sometimes to one of your priesthoodhauthorities), to reparation the things you did wrong and never do the sin again.

And on other importend point is if he believes in the jesus of the bible or if he believes in the jesus who was created and the spiritual brother of Satan, you and me. The Jesus presendetd in the bible is a totally different jesus than the one in the LDS teaching. You just need to read gospel prinicpels manual !!! The question to you is what do you believe how "christianity" defines salvation, god and Jesus and what do you believe personally.

@pilgergufy Every Christian faith believes different principles about God and the teachings of Christ. That doesn't mean Jesus is a different person in each faith. It means peoples understandings are different. Why else would there be over 10,000 different doctinal religions teaching the Bible to be true? LDS believe Jesus was begotten not created. I also believe that Jesus and Heavenly Father are separate. As is the Holy Spirit. I continue to study the Bible and my testimony of this increases.

Funny this is made into such a big deal. If Jesus is the spiritual brother of Satan it does not take away from who He was or what His mission was. I believe the bigger issue here is the Trinity. If you admit Christ was a spiritual Son then you have to admit that God and Jesus are separate. Arguing the spiritual relationship is akin to arguing Jesus was married like it does in The Davinci Code. It wouldnt matter if he was. He is still our Saviour. FYI Mormons dont teach that He was married.

How can Jesus and satan be a spiritual brother and the son's of heavenly Father not being created jo2spa2? This is not mad up in my mind this is out of the offical teaching material of the lds church used every sunday in gospel pricipel class. Look I dont know you and what you personal believe but I know whta is teached in the church. And it is not a question of interpritation of the bible because it is not in it. Im talking about the nature of god revealed in the bible.

There are many references in the Bible about Father and Son being separate i.e. John chapter 1, Baptism of Jesus, Mount of Transfiguration, On the cross, Paul seeing into Heaven and so on. The Trinity did not exist until the 4th century at the Council at Nicaea. The apostles were gone and man could not figure things out. So the Nicene Creed (compromise) was created to bring the church together. In fact the Bible as a whole didnt exist. It was compiled as one in 1611 A.D.

@jo2spa2 The Bible was most certainly compiled as one book long before 1611. For one thing, there is the Vulgate, St. Jerome's translation of the Bible into Latin from the original languages. St. Jerome made this translation between 382 and 405 AD. The canon had already been decided before then. 1611 was the year that the King James Version appeared.

Which church teaches that god has a body and is a perfected being? Because we are made in His image (see Moses 2:26; 6:9), we know that our bodies are like His body. His eternal spirit is housed in a tangible body of flesh and bones (see D&C 130:22). Gods body, however, is perfected and glorified, with a glory beyond all description. The church teaches and the goal at the tempel endoment is to become exalted (to become god yourself). That is not christianity !

@jo2spa2 in christianity there are no such teachings no matter which denomination you take. The LDS church teaches that Jesus was not god fom all eternity to all eternity God! The church teache that s he is our older brother which would also mean that you in your nature are of the same matter! When Christian say that Mormon's do not believe in the same jesus than because the teaching is totally diffrent than that to the bible. In which jesus do you believe in and is it the jesus of lds doctrine?
